Name your future rally car setup

I'd like to turn the new VW Golf R into a nice rally beast. I'd love to see it on a track like Toscana, and I think the chance is actually pretty good that I'll be able to do so.

An Audi S4 (B6 or B8) would be something I'd like to attempt as well.

As far as RWD rallying goes... Holden HSV W427 anyone?
 
I forget which GT it was but I used the Del Sol LM edition as a RWD rally car.

True. I realised after posting that I sounded like I was trying to put down your suggestion when I was really only trying to clarify the earlier post. I do think those would be interesting classes given the wide range of cars available to us - if the customization options supported it I know I could have a lot of fun building cars for most of those groups :)
 
Mitsubishi FTO. Lowered, racing modification, and every possible upgrade for that 2.0L V6 other than a turbo. Imagine the music it'll make with GT5's improved engine sounds... :drool:
 
Maybe a bit too "Dukes of Hazard" perhaps but I'd like to see some of those classic muscle cars battling it out on a dirt track.
Would perhaps be even more fun if you didn't have to change the regular road tires for dirt ones.
 
AWD- Evo 10 and give it the Wrc spec it never got.
RWD- Lancer EX 2000 Turbo.
 
AWD Dodge Stealth.
 
I'll rally a race tuned Samba.. super breadbox ftw.
 
I'll set up a RWD car for Tarmac rallys aswell at the moment it'll be a Renault 5 Maxi Turbo and probably a MKII escort wont know what others until the games out.
 
First generation Renault Clio V6. Like a modern day Renault 5 Maxi. I'd keep it N/A, high-revving.
 
An old fiat 500 with dirt tyres, a big bodykit and a massive engine! LOL
 
Original Mini Cooper. It's made out of things rally champions are built on.
 
I almost forgot how horrible I am at the rally events in GT. A wheel just exacerbates this for me. I'll most likely grind through the learning-curve with a moderately-powered FF, before moving up to a more substantial 4WD. Or cheat and use a DS3 with Standard physics. I'll have it all sorted out November 2!

ON-TOPIC: I want to see Toyota MR2 AW11. Tune it and you get a 222D replica. :)
 
I will go for a ford rs200 fully tuned.
An agressive little fun car

And some experimenting whit old Nissan Skylines (Rear wheel drive if possible).
Or some other fast Japanese drift car with lowerd and harden suspention to the max so you would break every suspention part in real life.
But possible in gt. Just for the massive powersliding replays :)

Offtopic: Japanese not in an insultive way. But a common belgian used word . Just short for japanese. for example: A friend at work got a Skyline R32 2.5Turbo (not GTR) When he told me he said "ik heb mij ne Japanese gekocht" Meaning: i bought a japanese sport car...

Also, the term "Japanese" is actually insulting. Please use "Japanese" in the future. Thank you.

and as for 'Japanese' being an insult.. I believe It's only in america and some other northern hemi countries. In asia (inc Japan), australasia and I believe aurope but youll have to ask someone else on that, it is just an abbreviated version of Japanese.

Similiar to Brit being short for British.

I can confirm that for Ireland and UK it is definitely not an insult, infact there are many Import garages and shops with Japanese in the name.
