Really ICEYOU why do you do that? Gordon needs your support, let the real Jr. fans have their day.

Being a troll in a Nascar thread is really a waste ICEYOU, just saying.

Now I don't think that's right.
Just because I support one driver doesn't mean I shouldn't support another. :/ I shouldn't have to lock myself exclusively to one.

Now I don't hate any driver, not even Kyle.
I like to think of myself as full of love. :O

There's the ones I like (Junior, Johnson, Gordon, Kahne, Vickers in 2011, Martin, to name a few). If they race well enough to earn my respect, they earn it.

Though if I had to pick just one, I'd say Gordon now that the Red Bull boys have disbanded.

Dale Jr. fanboys/fangirls, unite! Your boy FINALLY won. Yet... very few have said a damn thing about Jeff Gordon's losing futility. I guess my question from earlier this year (who would win first: Jeff Gordon or Dale Earnhardt Jr.?) was answered. All congratulations to the #88.

So what's next? Get ready for something different, especially for you Nationwide and Cup fans. Thursday night will see the NASCAR Trucks riding the banks at Kentucky. Nationwide will do some real racing when they hit Road America. Cup will race at (the track I've always known as Sears Point). So it's road racing for Nationwide and Cup while the too-chickens:censored:-for-road-racing NASCAR Truck racers will do Kentucky. Ready to see stock cars turn left AND right this coming weekend?

Nevermind. I think I see what you mean.

If you're a fan of a driver, you don't just drop the fandom when they're not doing so well, then become a fan again when they're coming back.

I'm weird in that once I'm a fan, I never let go.. not even if they leave the sport (in Vickers' case).

Kvapil.
That name is usually the butt of mine and my girlfriend's jokes when we hear it.

Kvaapalapalawfulwaffle.
How DO you pronounce it?

Kuh-vah-pull. That's how you pronounce it.

Yes, I know what you said was a joke.

Exactly, I dont know who i will follow when Jr leaves or Stewart

When Awesome Bill retired, I just started watching the sport as a whole. I like to get wrapped up in the little story lines that develop throughout the season. Also, with my enjoyment of a race no longer hanging on the performance of one driver I am able to enjoy the action on the track so much more.

Follow them into whatever they go into.
I'm sure Stewart's going to be racing outlaw sprints for the rest of his life.

Yeah or Stewart will be a Morgan Shepard figure. Jr. I think will quit when he feels he's done enough so it's hard to follow him. I would like to see him get back in an Endurance Corvette again, but it's easy to see why he wouldn't.

My dad always makes a comment when he sees Romain Dumas' name in races.

I was a fan of Allmendinger when he was in ChampCar, I just followed him over to NASCAR, even though he hasn't done as well.

And.. then there's Barichello going into IndyCar. :( I wish he was doing better, but he and Kanaan are my favorites.

Barichello always smiles and Kanaan looks like he could star in Godfather or Rocky. :D
Oh, and Sato was really ballsy on the 500, which earned my everlasting respect.

The fanboyism really kills the thread at times....

Could be worse. It could be ruined with these stupid "memes" like the Le Mans thread.

I liked Montoya when we watched Cart as a kid. So it was cool when he came over to Nascar.

The off-topic posts in the Le Mans thread got out of control. The memes, and the one guy asking what time it was where everyone was at. 👎

No Truck race next week as their next race is at Kentucky in two weeks as a triple header as all three major series will be there for that weekend.
