^ Your too late, NASCAR already thought of that. :D

If you knew, why did you even ask? :odd:

Sorry I originally though Lee won one of his championships with another team, no need to be as smart ass.

EDIT: Racehub just said JGR is going to make an announcement next week Tuesday. It's going to be weird seeing Matt in Tony's old number and sponsor.

I really wish putting someone on your ignore list would make them disappear entirely.

I agree, anyway yeah. Let's make all the races boring. Heard Jr had a hard crash in the tire test. Glad he's OK.

Since you're being the smart-ass by answering your own question, yes. :indiff:

I still think that Rowdy will get the wild card. He may not look good right now, but he's way too good at Richmond.

Jeff Gordon is on a hot streak, but if he doesn't win at Atlanta, the Busch will get the wild card for sure.

I think SPEED Channel or ESPN once asked if Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, and Kyle Busch could all miss the Chase this season. Do you think all three could miss out? I personally want to see Jeff Gordon make the Chase, but I don't know how much of a fight he'd put up with the kind of season my beloved driver has had in 2012.

Anyhow, do you think it's possible all three aforementioned drivers could miss this year's Chase?

I think I'd almost rather see Gordon miss the Chase then finish 13th by a really wide margin than make the Chase and languish in 11th or 12th. Just my two cents.

I'd rather have Jeff make the chase, Kyle has stunk it up every year he has been in it. I want someone who might actually make a run and Jeff is actually doing alot better.

It's obvious that I want Jeff in the chase. I'm just pointing out that Busch looks to be the best contender for the 2nd wild card.

The #24 team just said that they think they'll do well this weekend, which leads me to believe that they finally got the car all figured out ;)

Of course, feeling like you'll do well and actually doing well are two different things ;)

Anyone watching the Kyle Busch winfest Camping World Truck Series race?

All the unique character on each track is completely taken away when they get repaved. The bumps, sealed seams, grip; it all ends up the same when tracks are repaved.

Having won tonight, it looks like Ty Dillon is following in his brother's footsteps pretty well. One interesting note, though: he lapped John Wes Townley in the final corner, and (surprise, surprise ) Townley just about crashed on exit (skip to 2:03). Had he done a poorer job countersteering, we might be talking about how one of the most erratic NASCAR drivers cost Ty his first win coming out of Turn 4 to the checkered flag.

Exactly but granted a few tracks needed a repave. Charlotte's repave actually brought the suck I think because either you were awesome there or sucked it up which made boring racing if you ask me.

Now this could just be me but I find a few races better on TV and boring in person. I guess because they show action while there might be whole field spread out without alot going on.

Well it's hurt Superspeedway racing more than anything to be honest.

In the case of Daytona, it was necessary though. If they hadn't of repaved, that one pothole becomes two potholes, two becomes four and before you know it, that track has gone to hell (almost literally). Its more the cars that have hurt Superspeedway racing then the track.

Daytona definitely needed it. Daytona will also return to the way it was after a few years, and by the way, the tandem racing will be gone once the asphalt starts to lose it's grip.

Same goes for Talladega. No one is going to want to push or be pushed when the tracks have less grip and the cars move around more.

But then again, with the new car, the racing could change completely next year.

The solution to the boring races is so very simple and right in front of their faces. Reduce downforce and grip through less aero and new tires, make them actually drive the cars as opposed to riding around with their foot on the floor for 4 hours. Who knows, they might actually have to shift gears! F1 did it and look what they have had this year...seven different winners in the first seven races, something never seen before in the history of the sport.

Didn't the older stock cars (2000-2007. RIP) have less aerodynamics?

Actually, I believe that car had more downforce. It was smaller, sharper, and really pinned to the ground. Punched a smaller hole in the air, so aero push wasn't as big of an issue. But it had a bit less horsepower than the COT.

I dread the day Atlanta gets repaved. Best intermediate track on the schedule, hands down. Texas is probably 2nd best, but it's surface is just as old as Atlanta's, so it's repave date likely won't be far behind.
