With Hendrick himself Saying "I'm a Chevy man", I'm sure that make switch is out of the question for life.

There would be no performance benefits either. There's a higher likely hood of me marrying BK than that happening.

Ok bad example. More likely I inject my man juice into a pineapple and getting a unicorn out of it, than HMS moving to Toyolet.

HMS will never move to Toyota ever. If you think that then you should be begging for Ford, Dodge and Chevy to be replaced by Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi. Not being rude but that's stupid.

Do you guy's think the future 7-time champion will start his own race team after he leaves Hendrick? Do you think he'll use Toyota if he does?

Why are we talking about Jeff Gordon driving a Toyota? Is the news period THAT slow that we have to make up ridiculous stories?

Jeff Gordon and/or Rick Hendrick will never be a Toyota team. Give it up already.

That would be like Jack Roush changing manufacturers.

Dodge put a teaser up.

Hopefully a team announcment will accompany the car launch.

Saw that last week on Autoblog, forgot to post it. Not digging the rendering, but the actual car should look great.

Like I said when I saw the 2013 Ford and this one several pages back. Nascar is finally becoming more Stock oriented. Short of doing it like they still were at the end of the 80s that is

I am now convinced that this guy is a troll.

Makes me wonder what car Chevy is going to use as the basis for their stock car. They seem to be quite stubborn in their usage of the Impala, namely in the Nationwide series where it's up against the Mustang and Challenger.

Just use the Camaro in the Nationwide series already!

That would make since. I have a feeling that Toyota's model won't be a pretty racecar. As much as I love them, I just think the 2012 Camary is a very ugly car imo.

Would make sense for a team announcement. They can't unveil a new car for Robby Gordon. My guess is Petty's team (forget name) since he drove Dodge's a lot in his time and he used to be a Dodge team.

It's Richard Petty Motorsports.👍

MWR has also been rumored, don't think that has any real merit other than their contract with Toyota ending after this year though.

Anybody feel like PSing a 2013 blue deuce? Maybe a 2013 black and gold deuce?

Oh haha I thought it was a combination of two teams.

RPM fielded 4 Dodge teams as recently as 2009, until they left Dodge to go to Ford. Don't expect them to switch back now.

I honestly can't see the point in this announcement now that Penske is basically leaving them next year and the chance that RGM might not even be able to make it to new year.

This almost could be a good PR move as a last hurrah from Penske to Dodge. I mean, if Penske is leaving at the end of the season, it's nice to end the relationship in a way that helps build anticipation, news, and can create an energized vibe around the brand and the new team. I think we'll hear about a new team at the same time Dodge unveils their car, you watch.

It's better to make the announcement before, too, that way Dodge can use the car unveiling to end on a positive, rather than announcing the car then having Penske say "By the way, we won't be driving it."

I think this has been a well executed, polite and professional system of PR moves that have been instrumented by Penske and Dodge.

Not sure if everyone has heard yet, but Regan Smith, his wife, and Paul Menard were in a car accident today in Colorado. Thankfully nobody was hurt and they will race this weekend. 👍
