It's probably because one of his prescriptions or OTC supplements was a bit too much and put him over the limit.

I seriously doubt any NASCAR driver would intentionally do anything to cause harm to themselves or others.

Well.. any driver not named Busch that is....

And what are you "dammiting" for? It's not like the guy had talent. lol

Please use your brain, for once. Try and figure out why he could possibly be saying that.

Allmendinger had talent, its just a real unfortunate turn of events. 👎

Expect him to now go ALMS or Indycar...

I know this wasn't directed at me. The 🤬 was because AJ's my favorite driver. I understand why you wouldn't know this, I don't flaunt the fact around constantly like you do. Also, if you say he didn't have talent, watch some ChampCar races from 05-06, or any 24 Hours of Daytona from the past few years You'll be proved wrong.

Agreed 100%. I actually met Allmendinger on two occasions and he is a nice guy. I am very disappointed to hear that is Cup career is likely over.

NASCAR Now on ESPN2 this afternoon is scheduled to have Jeremy Mayfield on to talk about the Allmendinger situation.

IndyCar pls. I think he might be better off there, since he didn't really have much success in NASCAR.

I think after his stint in Champ Car that would be an option he'd be willing to pursue. It sounds like it really was unintentional so I still think some NASCAR teams would be willing to keep him on, even Penske.

I think it will greatly depend on his fans response. All the teams are worried about is keeping sponsors, and the sponsors only care about marketability.

Allmendinger has enrolled in the road to recovery program. Not sure if this is an admission of guilt

Well, he's already said he made a mistake somewhere, and really his only two choices are to do the program or pull a Mayfield.

It's not an admission of guilt. It's just step 1 to get back to racing in the Sprint Cup, which is what he wants to do. He can fail a drug test, and still not be guilty of intentionally taking drugs. AJ claims that he his having all of his medications and supplements tested to see if they would have unintentionally caused his positive test result.

McDonald's just announced a new value meal
the allmendinger,
no burger no fries just coke and ice.

Found written on a Milwaukee, Wisconsin pub urinal wall in 1966: "Graham Hill is a speed freak"

Respectfully submitted,
Steve

Actually, he did. He had bad luck this year, but he did have talent and unlike you, I don't go jumping ship to other drivers when the "one" I claim to like doesn't do well. I have more then one driver I root for no matter what make or manufacterer and I hate that he's suspended. Given more time and better luck, he can be up there fighting every week for wins.

Discovered that the 'ignore' function doesn't work on ICEYOU because the things he says are so stupid that they get quoted numerous times to be ridiculed. Quite rightly, but y'know...

ICEYOU
lmao

It's called being good at everything else except for NASCAR.

Time out. Wasn't he ranked only a couple spots behind your "4 time" before all this unfolded?

No, I always thought Dinger sucked :\

Penske should have never hired him. I'd rather see hornish drive the future famed double deuce Ford for Penske next year.

Unfortunately so.

If only there was a way to ignore him off the internet completely.

Do any mods frequent this thread? I'm surprised they havent had words with him...

Bummer deal for AJ... but... Karma?

Hopefully it was a problem with his prescriptions... otherwise it was quite a bad move on his part...
