I don't believe this is Karma from the Rolex 24 (otherwise, I would point out if he was pulling a Montagny).

About damn time Chevy, Now the big three can truly have a pony car series.

About friggen time.

Edit: Now that I look at it, it's the same car they have now they just replaced the upper half of the front bumper to make it look like the Camaro. :indiff:

That's the best news I've heard all day! Good Job Chevy!!

But still looks damn nice!

And then there's still the Camry. :yuck:

They can always use the 86.

Did any of you see a little ESPN SportsCenter segment on Danica Patrick on Tuesday or Wednesday? She talked with Katie Couric about her racing career and certain things about her. I still think Danica Patrick is someone who will eventually show the sort of resolve and consistency that she's shown in the IndyCar Series. She WILL win a race in NASCAR. Maybe multiple races in a season.

This weekend marks ESPN/ABC's takeover of NASCAR Cup coverage. So check into those networks between now and... mid-November. Trucks are inactive this weekend, so it's just Nationwide and Cup. Here are the next five races for each series:

Next 5 Trucks Races (Trucks inactive this weekend):
AUG 4 - Pocono
AUG 18 - Michigan
AUG 22 - Bristol
AUG 31 - Atlanta
SEP 15 - Iowa

Next 5 Nationwide Races (after Indy):
AUG 4 - Iowa
AUG 11 - Watkins Glen
AUG 18 - Montreal (will there be rain? :D)
AUG 24 - Bristol
SEP 1 - Atlanta

Next 5 Cup Races (after Indy):
AUG 5 - Pocono
AUG 12 - Watkins Glen
AUG 19 - Michigan
AUG 25 - Bristol (night)
SEP 2 - Atlanta
(SEP 8 is the final race before the Chase- at Richmond)

Good luck to all teams and drivers this weekend not only at Indianapolis, but all NASCAR racers in all levels of NASCAR this weekend. As for the Camaro... I couldn't load up that material from NASCAR's website somehow, but I'm damned happy to see the Camaro in Nationwide.

Ahh, yes, ESPN, the network with awful coverage of pretty much everything.

Speaking of SportsCenter, this is how you can describe it:

Basketball, basketball, basketball, basketball, Dwight Howard, basketball, Miami Heat, basketball, NASCAR, basketball, football, basketball, Olympics, basketball, baseball, basketball, LeBron James, basketball, basketball. Did I forget to say basketball?

Good luck to all drivers this weekend. I'm confident that this is Jeff Gordon's race to win, hopefully that happens. 👍

Maybe so, but it's a huge improvement over the current Nationwide Impala.

So true.

You forgot all the football coverage. Blah blah blah hasn't signed a contract yet, blah blah blah hasn't reported to camp, and let's talk about Tim Tebow for 3 hours.

Fixed.

True.

I don't mind them talking about basketball, but the fact that they shove it in our faces for hours and hours is quite irritating.

To bring this thread back on topic, the Nationwide race should be quite interesting. If you have been on nascar.com then you will see that the Nationwide drivers will not have to use their brakes that much, and they will go flat out for almost all of the race.

Sprint Cup will obviously be fun to watch. I've never been let down by any Brickyard 400, except the ones where Stewart has won, of course, and those were still fun to watch.

so true about Sports Center, Nationwide race looks promising! Camaro looks very cool too. Anyway, Here we go with people talking about Gordon.... I doubt he will make the chase because of his bad luck. It's not that he is to old or no good anymore, it's bad luck. I don't like Gordon at all whatsoever but i do feel bad for him because nothing goes his way.

We really should create a buzzword card:

Top 10 things said on ESPN:

10. NASCAR (Dale Jr., Danica Patrick, unless a driver does something really cool/moronic).
9. Golf (Mostly Tiger Woods).
8. NHL
7. One on One Conversation with famous sports guy.
6. New York Yankees/Miami Heat/New England Patriots
5. LeBron James/Dwayne Wade
4. Alex Rodriguez
3. MLB
2. NFL
1. NBA!!!!! (at least 30 times in any show, even in the middle of AUGUST).

In other words Indy is going to become another Daytona/Taledega snoose-fest?

You know, even to this day, I still think of Jeff Gordon as a scrappy young gun that can compete and win races. That's what I thought of him back in 1999 when I first started following NASCAR. He's still my favorite racer regardless. I hope he'll get back to vintage Jeff Gordon whereas he can easily win championships. Who knows? Maybe Jeff Gordon could get up to the seven-time Cup champion ranks before he hangs it up and call it a career. Even still, Jeff Gordon is DEFINITELY going to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. I think he's brought too much to NASCAR to not be any real significant figure of the sport.

What did AJ do wrong there? McNish nearly ran him off the track then hit him again at 160+ mph after AJ slid up into him.

I didn't say he did anything wrong, othet guy asked if this was Karma and I said it wasn't.

Thought Speed was airing Qualfying

No, when ESPN gets coverage, they get all of it.

...Except for what they don't air on TV.

Weird because when I check my Provider's TV Schedule, it shows Nationwide Qualfying on Speed.

Then jayski.com must have the info wrong as that was what I was looking at.

Qualifying:
Saturday, July 28, 2:10 pm/et
ESPN at 3:30pm/et

Happy Hour Practice:
Saturday, July 28, 10:30 am/et
ESPN2 at 11:00am/et

You can see where I was coming from with my posts.

Don't think anyone was saying you were wrong, just a case of conflicting Info.

Very conflicting info.

Not that they would have had time to do anything today. It's been pouring, plus the road course events are scheduled today.
