I don't know about you guys, but this is by far the best Nationwide oval race I've seen other than the restrictor plates this year.

Wow. Black flag for Sadler for jumping the restart.

Looking at the replay, that's a BS call. Not only did Brad spin his tires, Dillon was pushing Sadler, so backing off wasn't a realistic option. 👎

What a mockery of the rules...

Kahne doesn't start the race when he does and no penalty comes from Kyle and Denny jumping him on the start, but Keselowski spins his wheels and Sadler gets penalized for it?

Ouch.

I missed the restart. What is going on right now? All I know is that Sadler will not win the race and will lose points.

Didn't think NASCAR could look anymore like a joke. Boy, was I wrong.

Not the biggest Sadler fan, but that was straight ********.

Wow, are you kidding me NASCAR? No penalty for Kyle on the start, but penalizing Elliot for for not only Brad spinning his tires, but the 3 car pushing him. idiotic officiating by NASCAR once again 👎

I would love to see Ty Dillon win, though I would be alright with Brad winning since he is one of my fantasy picks.

Brad was 1st, Sadler 2nd. On the restart, Brad spun his tires. Dillon, behind Sadler, pushed him forwards, which meant Sadler crossed the line first. Per the rules, that's a penalty.

I'll give NASCAR a break since they are enforcing what's in the books. However, if this doesn't show them they need to revise restart procedures, then they do have their heads up their you-know-what.

Too bad that a Buschwhacker will win. Good for my double header fantasy picks, though.

Why wasn't Kyle penalized then?

Why wasn't Kyle penalized then?

Because NASCAR is sick of his whining and crying and decides to let him go like a spoiled brat.

Kyle and Denny both beat Kasey to the line on the start of the race, when the driver on pole starts the race, not the guy in the flagstand. They both should have been penalized but Nascar's explanation was that Kasey "didn't get going", even though they hadn't even reached the marked zone for starts/restarts.

They got both calls wrong. The initial start should have had penalties from those actions, and Sadler shouldn't have been penalized for Keselowski spinning his tires.

IIRC, rules for the initial start and restarts are different.

So at the start, you can pass the leader but in the restart, you can't? :odd:

If I could, I'd refer to the NASCAR rulebook. Of course, fans can't look at it, which is ridiculous since Formula 1 is more open in this area. I'm going off on one or two instances in the past where something similar happened on race start and NASCAR didn't dish out a penalty.

Oh, and what crappy post-race coverage by ESPN. They didn't even address the issue. 👎

That was normal ESPN post race coverage. Rush off to the next program.

Rule on the race start is the leader starts the race at or after the marked restart line. Kasey hadn't reached that point yet and the flagman waved the green flag. The only time this action is allowable is if the leader hasn't started the race after the intended starting area, but this hadn't occurred yet and Kyle and Denny should have been penalized for beating the leader to the line.

Now on to the later incident. Keselowski spun his tires on the restart and from past events like that happening, it didn't matter if the leader was beat to the line because they lost momentum.

If Sadler had backed off to stay behind Keselowski, it most likely would have caused a major wreck. I guess Nascar wasn't thinking along those lines.

You can't blame Keselowski for spinning his tires, though.

You can't blame Keselowski for spinning his tires, though.

But you can blame NASCAR for handing him a cheap win, handing a Dillon the points lead, and for handing Annett 100,000 dollars.

Also, Keselowski is the only one with any control of the throttle of his car. Nobody else spun his tires. He did.
