Sooooo many Cautions, just like the good ol' days, right boys?! You get a real nostalgic feeling from this race! I love it!!

May I ask when did Jeff Gordon decide to quit Hendrick and join a team named Team Chevy ICEYOU?

And all of a sudden Austin Dillon retardedly thinks he's Dale Earnhardt!

When did Jeff Gordon ever drive for a "Team Chevy"? He has driven for Bill Davis Racing, JG Motorsports & Hendrick Motorsports.
Because Jeff like other Chevrolet drivers are under the Chevy camp "Team Chevy".

Eat Of The Dead
Once he gets a cup car he'll get straightened out real quick.

little turd

Lol, I think the difference is Dale didn't wreck himself doing that move! Danica ran better than him tonight as far as getting into people ad passing.

This race seemed to breed cautions and interesting how we have the Modifieds with action, Trucks with some action but hardly cautions, and Nationwide with everything.

Who here is sick of Joey Logano winning nearly every single Nationwide race?

Who here is sick of Joey Logano winning nearly every single Nationwide race?

Who here is sick of Cup regulars in general bullying the field in EVERY Nationwide race? I went off Nationwide several years ago getting bored of seeing the same names (any one of Harvick, Edwards, both Busch brothers, sometimes Stewart, Logano, Keselowski) bully the regulars every week. They're the best drivers (of course they are, hence why they're in the CUP Series, they're TOO good for Nationwide) and whats worse is that they're almost always in the best cars. Up until a few years ago there was still a really good conveyer belt of talent coming thru the Nationwide (or Busch) series, and the series had it's own characters and storylines. You had cameos from Cup guys, but they were infrequent, and weren't always in the best equipment, so they were more a sideshow to the championship battle - as it should be.

Now it's which Cup regular will bully the field this week, and this year it appears to be Logano. I think the moment I lost patience with it all was when the Kyle Busch fanboys went mad when he broke the record for most Nationwide victories ever, and it disgusted me because so many of those victories had been achieved YEARS after he'd graduated to become a front-runner in Cup. He had no place even being there for so many of those wins.

I'd have hoped the running for points thing would've discouraged this behavior, but alas not - the Cup regulars are still running for sponsorship dollars and owner points. It's starting to reach a tipping point where, if NASCAR aren't careful, the Nationwide series will loose all relevance if people just start to assume it's a playground for Cup regulars who can't quite manage a full title tilt in Cup. And I don't buy the arguement that it improves the Nationwide drivers by making them race against Cup regulars - maybe if they had a fighting chance it would. But when you've got Cup regulars in the best cars hosing the field, they haven't got a chance in hell. And then you get idiots like Kyle who start wrecking Nationwide regulars. So some uppity idiot who isn't even running in my series for a title wrecks me out and ruins my title chances; how is that fair? He did the same to Hornaday in Truck Series, btw.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons the road course races at Road America and Montreal are two of the best races all year in Nationwide year on year - because these are two races the Cup regulars can't make it to, so we get to see exciting racing between guys we don't get to see racing upfront very often. Okay, we still get SOME Cup regulars (Ambrose, Edwards), but the majority stay away 👍.

Anyway, rant over  haha! Kinda needed to get this off my chest.

Speaking of Danica, I was impressed with how she was able to climb through the field. I don't care what anyone says- starting 32nd to finish 8th (or wherever she finished) is impressive regardless of what race it is or where the race is held at. And she's normally not as impressive on short tracks.

Best of luck and be safe for all the Cup drivers ready to battle at Bristol tonight. Put on a great show!

Credit where its due right? I'm still not a fan of her, but an impressive result nonetheless.

I'm not a fan either but it was probably one of the best runs out of anyone. It's even a little more impressive after having some issues there in Cup too. Her car looks clean for Bristol and all the torn up cars this time around.

Coach Gibbs said this race is going to be a war tonight.

Can't wait. We'll see if old Bristol is back. There better be two drivers angry at each other before the night is over or old Bristol isn't back.

Two ways they can fix this IMO

1. Force a strict 10 race maximum on those who chose to earn points for the Spint Cup Championship

2. Force them to race for smaller teams, which would level the playing field and help those small teams bring sponsorship.

That wouldn't happen because of contracts.

Sorry this is off topic, but does anyone know where I can find a list I what song the drivers chose for there introducion? Another question, if you were a driver what would yours be? :D I'll have to think about that one myself lol
