The reason behind that is if you lose the draft or something happens it is nice to be able to work with someone because still to this day people wont work together and just try to pass eachother. Plus everyone that plays any game online should have one. This is 2011 and even crap bluetooth from walmart isnt expensive.

PS3 400.00
GT5 Wheel 150-500
GT5 game 60.00
PS3 brand mic 40.00 (PS3 brand ones are the best the other cheap or expensive bluetooths work like crap have static, loud noises when muted and unmuted, echo, makes noise when batt dies, and just plain suck)

IMO do the math why wouldnt you have a mic?

We have practice tonight for that series, just need to find out if they are doing restrictor or full hp racing.

Tons of people don't have one. Many people (myself included) bought a PS3 just to get this game, and didn't bother factoring in a headset when budgeting it out.

You're also assuming everyone has HDTV's now, too, when this is far from the truth. People aren't made of money.
 
A headset isnt that expensive and if you had one with your ps2 I believe that would work also. Our rooms are not really designed around novice drivers we all know how to race its the new people who join not having a mic usually and that are from canada that really need one. Not saying all canadian drivers are bad because I have found 2 since november that are good but every other one that has came in just wrecks out people and then leaves or banned from our rooms. If you can come in without a mic and not be a menace wrecking people to where we will have to kick you then more power to you. But if you can drive as fast as us and as clean then you can stay just that simple.
 
We are going to be racing tonight and if you want to join I post up the room number on our facebook page so its easy to find. Join us tonight and prove that you can hang then there will be no worries
 
hes basically saying.. he wants you to have a mic so you can communicate when drafting or wanting the drafter to ease off on the nudging. he sets the rules to his room so why argue with them? if its not for you its not for you.. if it is then join :)

Jimmy been racing with us now for the past 3 days or so he can tell you it can get a little crazy in there but the group of guys we race with are really good.
