Would it be possible for us to send it across the pond? Or are PS3 games usually region locked?

The PS3 is absolutely region free. Any PS3 can play games from any other region. Otherwise, I'd never get to play SuperCar Challenge. 👍

Well Eutechnyx is a UK based company. I'd say your safe in the UK. Oh and the PS3 version will have direct youtube upload, the xbox will not :-P

It's worth noting though that in some cases DLC purchased from an EU store will not work with a US disc for example. The games themselves however work a treat.

Yes hard to believe. The ps3 is region free. You should still be able to buy it on amazon and import it

All good now reading Dave T twittter. Still though I think it was a wrong decision not to make PAL copies. Anyway, hopefully we have more gameplay footage this week, as there is alot of talk that there will be.

I think he felt the need to release a "goodie" after these horrible news, so he uploaded a video of himself playing the game at Infineon (he's a UK boy, that's probably why he didn't pick an oval )

^^^ Only problem I have with that video is they modeled PIR like it's a super speedway, which it's not. Seems to wide and longer than it should be. Just doesn't look right.

And the sun is in the wrong place.

Toward the end of the Phoenix laps you get a good idea of what NASCAR racing is truly like. Yea its left turns but this isn't Daytona. You have to play with the throttle and pick the exact right moment to punch it again.

March 29th is still great considering traditionally NASCAR games come out late summer.

Amazed at the graphics, kind of disappointed they left the exhibition races out but that's not a game breaker.

One of the developers said on YouTube that the amount of fuel in the tank effects lap times! And yes the devs constantly talk in the forum on Twitter and now on there YouTube channel. Yesterday he said they've learned loads due to the NTG forum.

Interesting the "No wheel" option. I might consider using cockpit view with this game, never liked to see two wheels and two pairs of hands in other games (GT5P, GT5, FC, SCC, Shift), usually out of sync.

I would guess that since it's a Eutechnyx product it would at least be available in the UK.

Could be wrong though.

Although I know normally you can go online with imported games(did it with SCC), DLC however may be an issue.

I like how in cockpit view the car shakes/moves 👍, but the driver's 'eyeballs' don't shake like they do in GT5 cockpit view (sometimes is nauseating).

I will wait for reviews after release to decide whether to buy.

I like it.

One thing, and it's not just this game, but most any Nascar game I've ever played... There is a certain rawness to the sound of these cars from the inside, and I'm not talking about the engine, although there is part of that sound missing too, but the on and off throttle and gear shifts. It should sound, in my opinion, much more aggressive than that, off throttle exhaust cracks, the way it winds down when engine breaking, the way it sounds climbing to peak rpm...

Also, I'm aware those aren't prefect examples, but close enough, oddly I can't find good recent on-boards...

Well according to that video the replays are lifeless and boring.

But the racing looks like fun, minus all the drafting stuff that hopefully you can turn off.

Definitely a rental for me.
