Why not set up league racing here...

I've been thinking about it alot recently. If I do then it will be close to real life, races full distances and so on. Another thing, NTG 2011 will have it's own little section here on GTPlanet, which is good news.

I'm thinking of doing a WRS/WTC style thing if the interest is there. Problem would be keeping it interesting.

Any confirmation on how many cars race online? Actual drivers? AI field fillers to make a full 43?

And yes, that is very good news!!!

16 max online and offline 43. I would love to see 43 people online though, would make it even more realistic.

Another little teaser released.

"teaser" is putting it mildly!!!

Ok. I'm just throwing it out there guys. This is RCRL first year with ps3 and I know there are some good racers on gt planet. The RCRL is established with mods and stats tracking. We will have speedweeks, dual 125s and the shootout, and the all-star race. So this is pretty close to the real thing. Wear will be set on 2x if the option is there.

Getting a ride isnt that complicated, its just how teams are formed. Teams share set ups and we also have a team champion.

43 cars online is in the near future just not yet on a console. That's why we race 32.

And as far as 100% laps, goodluck. That may be a 4-5 hour long race. Not saying it can't be done but that's a really long race.

The offer stands to anyone that is committed to race and be a team member every race and through out the week with practice races and team chats about set up. Before bashing it you can always check out the web site. It certainly won't be the sad NASCAR racing I saw online with GT5. Most guys have raced NASCAR on there for a while. NR2003, iracing, I've been playing NASCAR since EA 99.

In any case good luck if u decide to try and get one going here. To anyone else come check it out. Thank you.

The game itself looks very well produced

but damnit, I can't go in a 🤬 oval for 2 hours

That's why there's F1

You only have to if you really want to, you can set it to whatever distance you want. For me at least, going around any track for 2 hours(or any period over 20 minutes really) can be boring if there isn't anyone to race with, which is why I haven't done the enduros in GT5.

Also, don't try and evade the swear filter, it never ends well.

Can't handle white knuckling it for 500 miles? Far cry from being so technologically advanced that the majority of the cars on the track are doing time trial laps...

Yes I like F1. Different intensity though trying to best yourself Vs going door to door for 95% of a race. Just sayin...

You can handle it.

Watch Bristol this weekend. One of the most white knuckle places they go. Worlds fastest half mile. 15 second laps. Sunday on Fox 1pm et. Beating and banging all day.140,000 fans

If you've never seen Bristol before just do yourself a little favor and watch at least the first two mins of the video

Almost looks like he's using a controller instead of a wheel. He's constantly weaving left/right.

Whilst I have near to zero interest in this series, if the game had been released in the UK, I'd have bought it at some point. It looks very good, especially the picture-in-picture feature.

Yea I really don't get the no UK release. It's a British company making the game. I understand that the rest of the world thinks oval racing is trash.

You can buy it as an import though.

More then likely I will organize my “Leftyz Fun Runs” for the new “NASCAR 2011” game that will run on the same week that the real NASCAR events will run, this will give current relevance to the reason why a certain track for a particular week was picked, It’s like a “Duh” moment. My stuff is comfortable and easy with qualification being held ahead of time like right after the previous weeks race is over. The posting of the lobbies and grids will be based on your submission of your quali time. Hopfully there will be a friends leader board like F1 or some way to verify your time or it will be the honor system. My system allows for as many people who want to compete can, just by submitting their quali time.

My races are usually ran in the range of about 45 min. so you won’t be committed to anything that has you planted in front of your system until your rear end has gone numb. I usually like to have the race the day before the real thing and if it conflicts w/ the NASCAR underclass then the start time will be adjusted to before or after that days event, given the fact that real NASCAR fans will want to watch the under card event on TV the day before the cup race.

I have been told that we will get a dedicated area in the forum for the NASCAR game but it is too soon right now so after the game comes out at the end of the month and everyone has got a good grip on it I can start to organize the first event.

Race sim central have a hands on preview.
I don't like the sound of filling a draft meter.
They mention being able to turn off draft animations. Not sure if you can turn off the draft meter mechanic though.

Can't post link sorry.

I checked it out. The slingshot is a real nascar move. I just hope its not unrealistic slingshot. Either way this game has gotta be the best nascar console game since 03-04. Ea put out crap since 05 and GT5 nascar was really whack. I know the devs of this game WILL listen to the community and if we say patch the slingshot they will try.

How the hell can they get Extenze and GoDaddy past the radar?

GoDaddy sells web domains. Extenze is a pharmaceutic solution to a certain male problem. I haven't heard of that impairing faculties. But, "medical attention should be sought with an &@$&$& lasting more than 4 hours" ;)

While it's nice that we'll be getting the 2011 paint schemes in a free update around May, it's a little frustrating that some of the obvious driver changes can't be made ASAP. I assume the new front fascia (without visible splitter) will also be changed in the update?

From what I've read on the NTG forums, yes.
