Well I know that you don't permenatly lose your drivers suits, but does that also go for paints as well? I'm scared to use my cool paints cuz I don't want to lose them. Can someone help me out?

Fixed your English.

Paint chips are used up, once you apply the paint the chip is gone.

Also the title of this thread doesn't make sense..

I'm American, but that doesn't mean some words I use are automatically spelled correctly . But I just wanted that question asked, because it was bugging me. And the title does make sense >_>

I already answered your question in my first post.

You agreed to the rules relating to your language used on this forum, I'm reminding you of them.

Petty insults after being called out on ignoring the rules isn't a great way to win friends.

@ coffeedrinker- It's not a matter of what we expect it's a matter of The AUP(or Acceptable Use Policy to new members) and for us to understand what you are saying you have to use the proper words, not neccesarily in the proper order. The title of the thread suggests that you want us to to ask someone a question for you. But to answer your poorly stated question, Paint Chips are a one use item and after that usage that particular chip is gone until you acquire another one of that color.

The AUP is also in place due to the large amount of people from all over the world. For most of these, English isn't their native language. The AUP means they can follow more easily what others are saying - hence no slang or text speak either.

I agree that this is what the AUP requires, but folks, is there seriously no kind, considerate and helpful way of pointing out mistakes to offenders? I mean please do not get me wrong, UrieHusky stated things as they were. But we do not all have great command of the language when it comes to writing ..and that includes a lot of people who have it as a first language. For such a person, it simply feels like you are being a called a fool in public. This is why I believe people get defensive when corrected in this manner. Can we not send a PM ...or at least clothe what we say with a smiley face and a friendly comment thrown in somewhere for good measure? It amazes me that all these things are in the AUP but TACT and Diplomacy are not. Both help when it comes to "delivering the bad news". There is a way of telling someone to "stuff off" and have them leave with a smile. While this skill may not be in the AUP, it would go a long way to avoid these minor arguments. Once again I am not saying anyone did anything wrong. I am just saying I understand it when people get defensive when corrected in a cold way.

The misspelling of permanently is not stated in the AUP. Google translate proposes the correct spelling. The use of 'cuz' instead of because is, because it is textspeak and here Google translate doesn't do what I previously stated.

You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

Anyway, I think the question has been answered and we can all move on.
Probably with explaining the OP how to dupe.

Learn how to dupe. You'll need a 2nd account and a USB memory stick. I'm not sure how to post a correct link with the iPhone app, but you can either search this site, or go to google and type "gt5 how to dupe" without the "

Just kidding. English is my second language and hillbilly is my first. I wonder if people would correct me if I started typing in hillbilly?

On a realistic note, I've seriously had people correct my post and post the AUP rules because my phone input the wrong word in a sentence. It didn't make me feel like a fool, it made me feel sad for the person that post the AUP message.

ok, I guess I must've didn't see the edit button. Yea I know, but I just didn't suspect to be scolded for a mere error. Ummmm, yea I got tons of it. But I really wish I could get some more chrome paint because all I got is a gold chrome paint and that's it, but I'm seeing people with multiple gold or platinum paints. How does that work? o.O

Either by trading, as I will with you. I want solid black sent to "kayagrace" and I'll send you what ever you need. Another way is "duping" as mentioned before.
You can expect a little "hazing" whenever you join any club, team, etc....
"platinum" is referring to the D.L.C. paints I suppose and you have to buy those from the Play Station store.

1. Make two accounts on your PS3.
2. Get a USB flash drive and copy your gamesave from your main account onto it.
3. Start the game up on your main account.
4. Paint the desired car in the desired color and send it to your second account.
5. Exit GT5 and restore your gamesave from the USB stick.
6. After reset, send the car back from your second to your main account.
7. Start GT5 again on your main and there you go, the car is in the color you want AND you still have your favorite paintchip to do it again.

This is one way of doing it, my preferred method would be to directly duplicate desirable paint chips between accounts every day. That way there's always the option of just painting a car without any worries.

If it's a sendable paintchip, yes of course.
I actually explained how to dupe the DLC paints.
