Motorex has more to deal with than that. Motorex has been involved with GrayCar. GrayCar is owned by Claus Graeter who was sentenced a few weeks ago to jail time for illegal importing and faking EPA test, among other things. This is the second time GrayCar has been in the court room. The first was before Motorex starting dealing with GrayCar. Currently Motorex has numerous cars in the GrayCar facility which will require a court order to retrieve.
I know of several federal and state agencies that are looking into Motorex's activiites for criminal and civil action.
There is GOOD NEWS. I had a lengthy discussion with the DOT and discovered that any registered importer can attempt to the registration process. Currently Motorex is the only one to have been able to pass a DOT inspection for the Skyline. However, if they are out of business, JK Technologies in Baltimore, MD will probably take the business. JK Technologies did the original testing for Motorex and has the resident knowledge to do the importing. So the good news is that if Motorex is out of business, we can all get our cars imported. The statement on Motorex's web page that says they are the only imported is a FALSE STATEMENT. They are not, they are just the only ones to get one passed. This will change for the R-33 when Motorex is done since I will loan my car to any registere importer who wants to take it apart to figure out what Motorex did.
Also, if you are in the market for a Skyline, do not purchase one from Motorex. The cars the advertise on their webpage are not owned by Motorex (which is being investigated by law enforcement for fraud and theft), but are customers cars who owe Motorex money. The process to sell those cars (since they belong to someone else) requires a lengthy and expensive court process, a lien sell, and is probably more tha Motorex can handle legally since they can not even get a court order to get cars back from Motorex. The court order the retrieve cars from GrayCar should take about 30 days and I know of folks who have been getting the run around from Motorex for over 8 months.
If you have more questions, please post them and I will try to answer. I have done extensive research in these areas since I run a show car business.

I think this could be old, but I am still not cleared about this. I have been reading some threads from other places that Motorex and RB Motoring is in some trouble from the government or something? And then they could possibly go out of business for doing something illegal or not performing what is needed to legally get Skylines to be registered in the state. Is there any resource out there that truthfully state this?
I sure would like to import a Skyline to the state one day, but it wouldnt be worth it if there is no company that can do it.
