Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

I think this could be old, but I am still not cleared about this. I have been reading some threads from other places that Motorex and RB Motoring is in some trouble from the government or something? And then they could possibly go out of business for doing something illegal or not performing what is needed to legally get Skylines to be registered in the state. Is there any resource out there that truthfully state this?

I sure would like to import a Skyline to the state one day, but it wouldnt be worth it if there is no company that can do it. :O

RB motoring has nothing to do with it, they got all their cars from Motorex, and motorex is in trouble because of OBDII compliance issues, so as of now no one can import any skylines.

I suppose you can wait untill 2007 and but a new GTR, they will be way faster anyway ;)

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

If the new GTR looks good, then I will take it then! :O But if it looks ugly....then blah  I have the Supra as an alternative right now. Too bad I haven't been following up much about the new GTR.

IT BETTER LOOK GOOD UNLIKE MOST CARS THAT ARE COMING OUT RIGHT NOW! :grumpy:

My sources tell me the MotoRex filed Chapter 11 a couple months ago. Additionally, I'm aware of an importer who supposedly has Motorex's import license.

I read somewhere that they are keeping the round tail lights, we'll see.

Damn that's nice looking. I wonder why nissan didnt keep the classic circle tail lights.

look closeley at the picture, they are round, but they are under the rear tail light cover, similar to the round tail lights on the G35 sport coupe/ nissan 350GT

The front really disturbs me... :indiff:

Dont worry there is no front pic, that other red car is a Lexus concept.

Care to share? :) I've always wanted to get a hold of a R33 GT-R Vspec II...or any R33 GT-R for that matter. I'd hate to have to wait to buy one on ebay. :indiff:

Motorex has more to deal with than that. Motorex has been involved with GrayCar. GrayCar is owned by Claus Graeter who was sentenced a few weeks ago to jail time for illegal importing and faking EPA test, among other things. This is the second time GrayCar has been in the court room. The first was before Motorex starting dealing with GrayCar. Currently Motorex has numerous cars in the GrayCar facility which will require a court order to retrieve.

I know of several federal and state agencies that are looking into Motorex's activiites for criminal and civil action.

There is GOOD NEWS. I had a lengthy discussion with the DOT and discovered that any registered importer can attempt to the registration process. Currently Motorex is the only one to have been able to pass a DOT inspection for the Skyline. However, if they are out of business, JK Technologies in Baltimore, MD will probably take the business. JK Technologies did the original testing for Motorex and has the resident knowledge to do the importing. So the good news is that if Motorex is out of business, we can all get our cars imported. The statement on Motorex's web page that says they are the only imported is a FALSE STATEMENT. They are not, they are just the only ones to get one passed. This will change for the R-33 when Motorex is done since I will loan my car to any registere importer who wants to take it apart to figure out what Motorex did.

Also, if you are in the market for a Skyline, do not purchase one from Motorex. The cars the advertise on their webpage are not owned by Motorex (which is being investigated by law enforcement for fraud and theft), but are customers cars who owe Motorex money. The process to sell those cars (since they belong to someone else) requires a lengthy and expensive court process, a lien sell, and is probably more tha Motorex can handle legally since they can not even get a court order to get cars back from Motorex. The court order the retrieve cars from GrayCar should take about 30 days and I know of folks who have been getting the run around from Motorex for over 8 months.

If you have more questions, please post them and I will try to answer. I have done extensive research in these areas since I run a show car business.

Do you know sean morris? Former Motorex employee and often associated with RBmotoring he goes by the sn tyndago, hes been in the skyline community for quite a while and is very well known. Anyway I hear he was working on getting this issue taken care of, Hes working in conjunction with JK if I'm not mistaken, anyway you should talk to him and see how things are going :)

Very informative Rewnwa! :O 👍 All your information is very interesting. That's what I have also been thinking for a while about what Motorex really do to the Skylines to legalize it. I sure would like to see what Motorex do to the skylines.

hmmm....absolutely nothing? Just hold it for months and do no modification to it and still charge you AS IF they did something? :odd:

Actually, i can tell you right now, Claus has not been sentenced at all, the media blew it up larger than it really was... Plus the cars in question were German imports, the majority of the cars in his Warehouse are ours... We've been working for over 2yrs on this project.
You are right about Motorex, however... they're gone!

Gone? Really? Some reason, their website is still online. :odd: I feel like I want to give them a call and see if anyone picks up. :O

I've been hearing that a Socal importer has obtained MotoRex's import rights. They've already got quite a few Skylines on the street, registered and everything. Not sure how it's being done, but he's got it down pretty well. It seems like there is a secret loophole somewhere or other. I met another importer who's found a way to legally bring in Silvias and 180SXs, same story. I actually met him when he showed up to the arcade in a 180SX.
