if you think about it it looks like burnout paradise and The Run combined and with free roam unlike The Run but the graphics are look like The Run

WOW its building up just like my fears and my hopes for the game

I'm all for Criterion taking over the NFS brand. No NFS since the original Most Wanted has entertained me as much as the new Hot Pursuit has. It really brought life back to an otherwise stale brand. Now I'd much rather have Burnout physics than the crap that was in the recent SMS and Black Box games.

My only beef with this news is that we may never see NFS Underground 3. I get the vibe that Criterion really don't like car customisation in their games beyond paintjobs and they probably won't change their stance any time soon.

your right every one wants car customization like the good old carbon days LOL this is a triple post i got to stop

I understand what you said but It seriously confused me at first... :dunce:

I suppose the 'thrill' with the Veyron SS is that it was console only DLC in HP2010 and a PS3 exclusive in the Run.

Thus resulting in MW2012 being the first NFS where all players have it, along with the Agera R, ZL1, 991 C2S and Vented-door. I really like that pre-order bonuses are (so far)merely early unlocks.

Now, if the Hennessey Venom GT is in...

Now, if the Hennessey Venom GT is in...

One thing I liked about TR is how they included a lot of cars so little games have.... and the Hennessey is one of them. That car scared away a lot of beginner drivers in Tier 6 races but it was actually pretty easy to drive for a car with "Challenging"-rated handling and it was much faster than the SpecV GTR most people relied on.

Guys, I've just found a possibly new screenshot from Most Wanted.

Seems the Muricelago LP670-4 SV will be in the game as well as police helicopters.

Not unexpected at all. All these visuals don't sell to me because it's pretty obvious the game doesn't look like that.

Veyron...Police...Car... Looks the the one from HP... Game bonus?

Maybe I can just tell this stuff easily, but I was almost certain and easily willing to bet that that image is not an untouched screenshot.

Sorry I forgot to tell you guys where the source came from but thanks to wicken anyways for posting it. I was unsure as to whether that photo was real or not.

I expect the heat levels to have at least 1 car from the cop classes that you had in Hot Pursuit being the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport the highest heat level cop car: heat 1 you have the Ford Crown Victoria same as HP, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 or Z06 I don't know really, Dodge Charger, those suvs in the picture as the Ford Police Interceptor and then that Bugatti as heat level 6.

That pic seems more like concept/fan art.

On the topic of police cars:

The police use the Z06 and they are earlier models with the original wheel design, which is no longer offered. (Based on the screenshots at reveal.)

(GM has even redesigned the Camaro SS's standard 20-inchers. Times sure have changed, man...)

As the Crown Vic is almost as slow as a Nissan Versa traffic mobile, even the Explorer-based Interceptor (3.7 NA V6, ecoboost V6 unfortunately not available) would be faster.

Veyron = fast and strong (heavy relative weight), though it does seem a bit too 'Seacrest fantasy world' to use one in the gritty MW universe.

Alright, I've got a real new picture this time that was uploaded on NFS' Instagram page.
They mentioned in the post "Defeat this #MostWanted driver and his ride is yours!"
Which means we've got our first look at a Blacklist driver.

If you look hard enough at the right side, you'll see it's the 2013 Alfa Romeo 4C. What an unexpected choice.

Here's an wealth of information I have composed on GFAQS. This should answer some of your questions and show you cars you never seen before.

hey AOS since you studied the physics of HP2010 let me ask you a question. Would you agree with me that the whole it's the driver not the car thing is played out? Seriously in Exotic Series the ACR and Stirling Moss will wipe the Ford GT(used to be my main until others started to master naturally faster cars) it burns me to the core when someone wins and their in high tier among their class car and I'm in UP car to no end and think they have more skill. Why must people always gravitate towards fast cars? They have no love for the car only for what it can do. It made driving the GT2 RS suckish because every NOOB and their mom would be in it. Be original people and I'm not talking about 10% of the time.

Okay, just to be clear... MW2 is not a sequel to the first game... It will be more like HP 2010.
For those interested by NFS news... Please check out my Facebook and Twitter pages in my signature. I normally update at least once a week... I will do so this Sunday (have had no time this week).
For elite NFS Racers : I will be starting a new team for MW2... I will have tryouts, if interested my NFS PSN is Vv____NFS____vV, i am the #1 Spanish player on HP... Or rather was... I haven't played it in 6 months.
The team will be called Dark Knight.
I have yet to choose a Vice-CEO for the team.
Thank you for your attention.

And it would really help me if someone would like to help me run my Facebook Page... Please "like" it... I will update it more frequently in the future.

Oh please don't even bring that "elite" culture NFS is so notorious for into this forum...Teams? Tryouts? You do know how silly that sounds, don't you?

Well no one ever fully proclaimed they are the best, and if they did, you can tell them the Viper and Stirling Moss are the fastest in its tier. The funny thing is how long it took people to learn this fact.

People choose the fast cars because they want to win, but "because they're good like that". Those who believe that have the wrong conception of winning. If I wanted to win at a race, I'd drive the car I feel I'd do the best with. Usually it will be a fast car, can't be helped; if I want to win, I'll select a good car without a doubt. In my 2 years of playing Hot Pursuit, the car people have decided was the fastest had changed many times. In the Exotic tier for example, everyone thought the Zonda and One-77 were the fastest of the bunch simply due to written stats. Then it was the 911 GT2 and Viper ,and then the Diablo. But everyone still drove the Zonda and Diablo because they couldn't drive the Viper. Now everyone's driving the Stirling Moss and Viper. I think it's mostly to do with videos posted online and with the people who usually kill the competition drive the Stirling Moss (like me) :p.

However, even if you have a fast car, if you can't drive it, you won't win.

I was playing the game recently and found that everyone in the sports tier was driving RX-8s. I assumed people finally figured out the RX-8 is just a really good car. While a few of them put up a good fight, I beat them numerous times with the underlooked Z4.

^^^ Alfa 4C = excellent catch.

^ I found it disappointing that there was still a 'best' car in each tier. I had the impression that the nitrous system would better balance cars within the tiers. (Like what one dev said in one of the preview vids.) I'll also mention again that many cars were mis-tiered.

And the ACR was overpowered, even without nitrous. It does not suffer the drag caused by the wings that give it such good grip in reality. It greatly out-accelerates the Viper convertible even though it's barely any lighter.

If anything, the ACR felt more like an ACR-X without aerodynamic drag.

Found a lot of stuff in the link that acetuner posted.
Only 10 cars in the entire singleplayer campaign are not available from the start and have to be unlocked. Once you’ve reached a certain Wanted level these cars become available, but you still have to make some effort - beat the car in a race, then take it down when you see it driving around in the city and then only will it be sitting in its jack spot in the city.
Reminds me of Takedown in NFS Undercover.

SP also adds to your Wanted level, and this time there are 70 levels to grind through. You have to level up in multiplayer to unlock cars for use in multiplayer, unlike the singleplayer game. Once you get to level 70 in Most Wanted you will be reset to 1 again like in many other online games. Criterion are clearly trying to make the online multiplayer a lot more long-lived than Hot Pursuit was.
I don't like the idea of reseting the back to level 1 but at least 70 levels is better than only 20 levels in NFS Hot Pursuit, I reached lvl 20 in less than 2 days just grinding the final race for the cops and racers.

Criterion also confirmed that there is no crash mode in the game. Sadly we will have to wait a little longer for a new Burnout. This game is close but it drives a little less arcadey and has a little more emphasis on cars and modding than a true Burnout game would.

Well in it's defense, the Viper did have really slow acceleration, and a relatively low top speed. It's just like you said, it loses so little speed during drifts making it a very formidable car. By stats alone, most tiers were balanced, but I personally think Criterion didn't thoroughly test every cars potential, especially with the lack of variety in courses in public online rooms.

You can't say that the "Best Car in its Class" topic is silly because you will have that in any racing game where there are different cars to choose from. As long as there are cars with varying stats, there is bound to be one car that's better than the rest at something let alone overall performance. People play games for a long time to find the best of everything.

Even so, in a game like HP3, even with some of the faster cars, you can match that player with a slower car granted that you match their cornering or better and make better use of nitrous. A friend of mine had beat someone driving the SL65 in an R8; one car not many people drive let alone win with. Is it faster than an SL? After comparing the two on the same race event offline, the SL is inevitably faster. The point I'm making here is that at the end of the day, it's still player vs. player. The only time when it comes down to car vs. car is when both players are evenly skilled, or when the difference in skill level doesn't apply for the race (i.e. Racing down a straight line)

^^ Reminds me of Paradise's takedown-and-add-to-junkyard system. Also find it odd that they would separate the single and multiplayer leveling component.

^ Good point, especially in the context of multiplayer competition. I wonder how the cars would compare when used by the same pro player in a singleplayer event.

Still, personal biggest annoyance (from a car dork view) was that cars had varying spec sources. Some seemed to have manufacturer quoted specs, maybe with electronic speed limiters while others had proper derestricted specs like in most sim-cades or even the original MW.

It's a video game, cars should perform at their peak like the latter. Tyres won't overheat and the presence of high speed lift and instability should not be an issue with arcadey physics.

A number of exotic and hyper tier cars also felt like they had much, much more power than reality based on their 400m trap speed. They should likewise have raised top speeds or simply have the correct power set.

Exactly!!! I felt the cars were balanced until people started to learn what were the easy cars. Even then I felt I could tell compete with them. Onyly when slipstream and thats hard when you a pack of ACR,Striling, etc. doing the same thing.

AOS i have same thought, drive what you know, but unfortunately people coincidentally all have to go by stats, go by: what goes fast with minimal effort? lulz, my elite skillz beat you..

Enough of that lets go back on topic, Cars I think that still need to be revealed are as following,Ferrari(will explain below) Lancer EVO FQ400, Jag of some sort,Gumpert Apollo S, Carrera GT. Also remember they made 5 events for each car to show what the car is made of. i know in one of the early previews Matt Webster answered to a question, what if I like my BMW but theirs a Bugatti Veyron? He said you can apply mods like Supercharger. I wonder will it actually bridge the gap enough.... Also inb4 any else as BMW M3 GTR as #1 Most Wanted car and Jack Spot is at police station.

These pro players are the ones who know what each car is capable of doing, and consequentially are the ones who know which cars are the overall fastest in the game.

I'd be surprised if Ferrari ever becomes a regular in the series again.

I know that EA loves to flaunt Porsches, so I'm hoping they include the rest of the lineup like the Cayman R and Panamera. Can't be too sure though since so far they've only concentrated on revealing mostly the high-end supercars, probably just to keep the hype up before release.

I'm still waiting for my Detomaso Pantera and Lancia Stratos to make an appearance in NFS.

Because NFS' main audience are people who only care about the high-end vehicles, especially new ones. They choose fancy new exotic cars because being the first to have a vehicle no other game has is what sells for them. NFS is the first to get the Marussia. Do you see any other games with them? I don't. Want to drive Porsches? You got to buy NFS games for that.

Forgot to explain why Ferrari, here we go. In The Run one of the achievement pictures was infact a pic of a 599. On their facebook poll 458 Italia was on the options. Me thinks Mircosoft and EA struck a deal. Releasing DLC packs for each game.(Forza Porsche Pack) NFS Ferrari Pack) might be far stretched but it's what I think.

Also NFS MW has a high chance of having Lancia in as they have lisence,(World and The Run)
