NFS doesn't have cockpits but Forza Horizon does. I'm leaning more for Forza for it's IBL and 200 car count, but I might get NFS for Christmas or something.

Saw neither of those unfourtanetly, the game preview ended rather quickly. All I saw was a Lexus LFA, C6 Corvette, and a Maserati.

The original NFS has a cockpit view. All of them except HP2. Shift and Shift 2 Unleashed had a cockpit view.

The only full & complete feature set IMO was NFSV:PU, which had all the four standard views, PLUS working hazard lights, turn signals, horn, headlights (both high & low beam).

That's the kind of game I miss, where the attention to detail is -- while unessential -- the artistic finishing touch.

I may not grasp social games entirely, but I certainly didn't buy this game because I wanted a social game. I wanted to make a competitive racing game out of this and the Time Attack Comp is slowly making it happen.

The thing about license plates are that people can only see it if they're taken down, and even then it's only shown briefly. A new plate has little impact as opposed to a new car in a new colour. Do you really pay any attention to what people sport as their license plates? Sure..maybe for the first 14 seconds that is.

You don't see a motivation? Think about it some more. There's always a reason why anyone (including yourself) would want to play a game. "Fun" is almost always the immediate answer, but try asking yourself "What makes it fun? Why am I playing it over other games?" If you find yourself coming back to the same generic response "because it's fun", then I'm afraid you haven't reached the level I'm at when I question a game's fun factor.

My post wasn't about showing off your license plate, it was about collecting them. It's incentive. I also play games to win, of course. Getting first in events and speedlists is all I need really. That's why my biggest gripe is double speed pointers. Can't win unless I target them the whole speedlist and they suck at the game.

I wasn't doing a brake stand. It was a legit drift in a circle. I was getting my Track Tyres Pro'd for the Impreza & after 3,000 yards of straight drift they exploded.

Is there any way to get back to the game when you're eliminated in the multiplay? I tried taking down other cars, tried it on the very car who kicked me out and stuff but never worked. I just don't get this feature.

I had this happen to me on day 1 during the challenge where you have to drift in the K&N warehouse.

Check your Driver Details. Every single unlock in the game is in there & tells you how to do it & how much of it you did.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's for reaching vehicle milestones i.e. vehicle mods & time/distance usage challenges.

I checked. Driver details doesn't record how many tickets you get, making it a guessing game of when you'll unlock a license plate with a ticket requirement.

According to the licensed plate, I need to complete the most milestones for the milestoner ticket. So I setup 5 cars that were about to complete 2 milestones each (jump distance and mileage). I then threw an online race so that I can complete those 10 milestones. But at the end of the race I got the tester ticket intead for completing the most car milestones. So...

Speaking of SWAT trucks, you do get 750-775 SP for taking them down in pursuits. Got 3 of them last run in a tanked out Veyron.

The only way to take those things out is by luck i.e. touching one as it flies off a cliff.

Yeah, when you have to go into the airfield the car likes to rocket into the fence & crash. :grumpy:
