I've been a fan of NFS but I always wished they would focus more on the tuning and it looks like this game will do it. I love the fact they got Junkie XL doing most of the tracks. He has some insane beats!

Moving the release date up? Hmm... that's not good, especially coming from EA. :dopey:

Well, if you read, it's been in development for nearly 2 years (ever since Most Wanted was released in late '05) and coming a little bit early won't hurt it.

The guy in the interview sounds like a douche... that aside, this looks like it could be an awesome change in direction for the NFS series, which it needs after Carbon and such.

Here is to hoping EA doesn't screw it up.. again.

Yea.. but it seemed like they were trying to over do the last 3 or so games and got screwed when they ran into problems with programs not being able to give good quality, which led to them scraping the game 2 weeks before the release date..:banghead:

What game are you talking about? EA has released 5 NFS games in the span of the last 5 years.

ive got a spare 200ms point's, think i know were there going.....those are some pretty nice cars:D

i cannot wait for this game. I think ill have to go get a 360 just for it, and the fact i've wanted to get one for a while. Smoke, i cant wait for some decent smoke in a game. Forza pisses me off when im doin a burnout or drifting and the smoke disappears 2 feet behind my car, this game looks insaneeeee.... shiiittt.

which game...?

NFS:UG2, NFS:MW, and NFS:C .

they tryed to put too many new "revolutionary" features in them and overdid it to the point to where they actually had to decrease overall game quality so it would run properly. i didnt count NFS:UG because that was there pilot for the whole ricer thing and they were just trying to get a feel of how a street racing game would do in the market.

"they tryed to put too many new "revolutionary" features in them and overdid it to the point to where they actually had to decrease overall game quality so it would run properly." at least thats how it seemed.

And the tuning/modding(engine) sound's absolutely astonishing.

Im REALLY looking forward to it:P

love the smoke aswell, first game,IMO apart from TDU to get it right, so far.

At last it looks like EA are actually making a Need For Speed game that's using the hardware of the 360/PS3 as opposed to their quickie PS2 ports of Most Wanted and Carbon.
I'm surprised at the cars rolling on their roofs etc and the damage modeling looks quite good. Could be a purchase for me (or at least a rental).

I've had it with EA.They better change their gaming style or else EA will be bankrupt like Acclaim!!Look,i like NFS as much as a hardcore racing fan does and the first few NFS games weren't that bad.Even the NFS:HP2 and NFS:U were to be considered the best NFS game for the PS2/XBOX.Since Most Wanted and Carbon, both games just SUCKS!!!! (and you must be wondering why i didn't mentioned NFS:U2.Well thats because it doesn't straw away a lot from the previous title and don't hate me for this but i was a JDM freak and liked the drifting mode a whole lot more...)

Both games tried to improve at the cut scene and game dynamic but failed dramatically at replay value.Even the drift physics for Carbon and the drag race in Most Wanted makes me want to cry :( It was just that terrible!!! Well onto topic now,the new NFS looks good but i just hope the CG and fancy Preview doesn't cover up the bad gameplay. The smoke and damage do look cool and it looks like its going back to its NFS:U roots.I can live without any free roaming or even have to do those 🤬 bounty, cop chase, etc thing anymore. But the most important thing, please fix that STUPID DRIFT PHYSICS!!!! I want to drift with happiness not suffrage!!!

Man im looking forward to this game!!! Look at those graphic's and listen to that rotor!!!

Dare I say...an EA game that's worth getting excited over?

The damage looks great, but the collisions are still the opposite. Running into the rear end of that Evo def. wouldn't have looked like that in real life.

They're good at hyping it, aren't they? :p Really though, this is probably the 1st NFS game I've been looking forward to since HP2, which was really the last good NFS game. Underground 1 was OK & Most Wanted was alright, but everything else inbetween was terrible.

I'm cool and all with damage but if they make you pay to fix it... 👎

That's how it worked in older games. (High Stakes, Porsche Unleashed) Plus, if you total your car, you're pretty much screwed.

Yeah, I know and it's just another reason that made NFS lame. If I want that to happen I'll go crash my car in real life. This is a game...

lol "the uber motivation for the game"

hahaha:D

Love the smoke!!!

It is looking absolutely stunning aswell!!!!!

Hope they have diff camera angles though...
