The blue car is the 2013 Porsche 981 Cayman S and the cop car might be the rumored Lamborghini Aventador SV.

I thought that this is the Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 but... I compared this picture and I am sure that it is Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 ;-)

These are official releases. It's not like they'd show off a car that hasn't even been confirmed or gotten out of the development phase yet.

Or the studio said that if Veneno is in RACERs, Aventador will moved to COPs :)
This is how they are going to do it: Lamborghini Veneno belongs to Racers; Lamborghini Aventador (can't really say if it is the 700-4 or 720-4 model) showed in the inital footage from E3 belongs to Racers and now in the picture that I posted above we have another Aventador model.
Now you might remember that up until now I posted leaked car lists here and until today they are legit after confirming with the Gamescom footage, that Aventador Cop above might still be the Aventador SV but most likely they are waiting for the official announcement. (I am not saying that they will release that car this year, probably reveal 2013 - release 2015/2016)

Before gamescom, Rivals had the look and feel of Hot Pursuit 2010 ... Now it seems to have more the look and feel of The Run .... which is worrying :-/

That's all we need is the run with random multiplayer involvement. 👎

How does this reminds you of le Run? And its possible they saw they missed a chance of Pagani vs Lamborghini so decided the Aventador needed a class change. Good it'll makes a better cop. AWD V12 ftw

I have a question. Would be better I pick the PS3 or PS4 version?
It depends. If you are going to buy PS4 for other games it's fine, for this game alone nope. The differences between the PS3 and PS4 version are: better visuals, (probably) more online players, to play online on PS4 you need PS Plus+ unlike the PS3 version.

I already did the PS4 pre-order, and I am PS+. But from what I see, many nfs gamers will not buy the PS4 version. Yesterday I ask about 35 friends of mine who play nfs, if they will buy PS4 version, only 2 will do:nervous:
I don't know if in this community will be the same, but since Hot Pursuit I only like play nfs with friends, is what make NFS fun to me.

This is confirmed.
Well according to Need for Speed: Rivals creative director Craig Sullivan, who spoke with DigitalSpy yesterday, there isn't any real difference between the current and next-generation versions of the game.
The link

So if there is no difference then why get it on the ps4?

If that is correct then the ps4 version would be just like the ps3 version but with the only difference is the ps+ for online.

Actually that's not what I read from one interview he did today.

EE: Given your experience as Creative Director also Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted, and comparing all at Rivals, now coming up even on the Next Gen console, you've never had to deal with the hardware limitations of this generation? Faced with the impossibility of achieving something you wanted?

CS: There are always "more things you want to do" and experiment. For me, the true potential of the new console, however, go beyond the simple hardware capabilities. Of course, the power of PS4 and Xbox One has allowed us to increase the draw distance and implement the dynamic weather of which we are particularly proud of. But personally I think the most interesting feature is connectivity. With PS4 and Xbox One we know that there will be many more people connected and we can use it to constantly improve the gaming experience, such as focusing on the sharing of integrated video with a single click allows you to share the best moments of a race. All this allows us to "creators" to differentiate, to include new ideas even beyond graphics.

While yes I did hear that too but I also read that it was more exclusive to the Xbox one than the PS4, from a different article. Which I didn't post since it was for xbox. :yuck:

From examiner
Having just read what Sullivan said, he goes on to elaborate further by describing some of the differences that people will see between say the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions.

With the power of next-gen, we can have stormy days. You can drive and the lighting dynamically changes, we have thunder and lightning going off, and rain splattering off the cars, the floor’s wet and cool. Visuals are going to be way better, they already are. You’ve seen the games out there, they’re really good. We’re at the forefront of that.

WoooooW, hold on there. We HAVE to be a Playstation Plus member to play online on the PS4? In that case, I'm sticking with my PS2 and PS3.

Yes. It's overall cheaper and better value than on the Xbox One mind - we get 'free' games for the money we pay, just like PlayStation Plus+ now.

Well the free games that are slated for first year are kind of crap, Outlast, Don't starve, Driveclub (modified) and secret ponchos. Are the first 4 games you get for PS+ on the PS4.

Although I would rather just stay with the ps3 until the PS4 hype thins out a bit.

It's $60 a year and you get multiple free games every month how is that not worth it?

However they didn't state that we would get free games for the PS4 "yet"

Until someone finds where they will still get a free game with ps+ on the PS4 then I will believe it. As of right now it's just for the PS3 and Vita/PSP

I do believe it was confirmed that Driveclub would be free to PS+ members at launch.

It's not every month you get a free game. (Unless you have the PSP/Vita) Since they rotate from PS3/PS4 and Vita games every other month.

And you were right :ouch:

Need For Speed Rivals will feature better graphics on one next-gen console than the other, Ghost Games’ executive producer Marcus Nilsson has suggested – but refused to clarify which.

“What we’re seeing with the consoles are actually that they are a little bit more powerful than we thought for a really long time – especially one of them, but I’m not going to tell you which one," Nilsson told VideoGamer.com at Gamescom earlier today.
