You will need a ps1 and a ps1 gameshark, or atleast a ps2 that can play the ps1 gameshark.

Pupik made a nice list for all hybriding needs in GT2, it's a pretty neat little webpage that is widely used today just for it.

Read the pupik site. Don't expect to master it without some reading, trial and error and patience.
It takes a lot of people here a long time before they get close to being a master at it.
I've been hybriding since the early days and I am still discovering new things.
