Well... my dad owns a '97 Ford F150...the one with the 4.2L V6. Anyways...about 2 weeks ago his camshaft jumped and caused a lot of leakage and the mechanic gave my dad quite a hefty estimate. I was wondering if any of you would happen to know the engine code and if you may know where i could find either a brand new or a under 30K engine. Thanks a lot guys.

The only thing that I can think of is there has got to be some Ford message boards around the net somewhere, Im not one that looks up Ford stuff so I dont know.

30K as in miles or Dollars?

Is there no way he could modify the engine mounts amongst a couple of other things and put a 4.2 in, then aganin he could put any of a large selection of engines in, it's just a case of what work needs to be done to make it fit.

We're British, not European. The two are completely different. We haven't succumbed to the European ways, and i pray we never do. Europe sucks. :)

Well, to be fair, there is a pretty good sized body of water between England and the rest of Europe :)

The Gulf of St. Lawrence separates Newfoundland and Nova Scotia by a greater distance than the Channel does Britain and France, and not only is Newfoundland part of North America it's part of the same country as Nova Scotia...

Oh well. Those goofy Englishmen can make whatever distinctions they want. It doesn't matter; they're still European. :D
