A couple things.

So the wife wants an 05 accord sedan V6.....loaded, I am trying to convince her on a Subaru WRX.....looking for pointers, practical explanations as to why my idea is better !!!!! :scared:

Sorry, but I can't help you here. I personally believe the current Honda Accord V6 sedan is the best Japanese car ever built. The more options the merrier. It's a great car. Plus, it's got 240-horsepower, so it's no slouch, and it handles pretty damn well. Have you test-driven one yet?

If this doesn't matter a bit to her, then you might just want to re-think the Accord. You can still get a 6-speed and sports package... well.. here in the States you can.

Only on the coupe; his wife wants a sedan. All V6 sedans are automatics.

I have tried the drivers car thing, but to her, ats all about the reliability....she is also looking at a new camry...( oh god nooooo) so ugly....would rather have the accord

If you go Camry, you must go Camry SE V6. The other best cars in the segment are the Nissan Altima 3.5SE, Mitsubishi Galant GTS, and Chevrolet Malibu LT. The Mitsubishi and Nissan add quite a bit of fun to the segment; the Malibu doesn't have a lot of power but makes up for it with lots of stuff (like heated seats, automatic climate control, and a remote starter).

Goomba
What about the rest of the Subaru line up? The new turbocharged versions of the Legacy, Outback and Forester are all good choices.

I named the Outback "Car of the Year" in 2001, which means it was the best new car, in my opinion, in MY-2001. I was expecting the new Legacy to possibly get the same nod, but it's lacking in crucial areas:

- it's got the worst trunk space of any midsize sedan
- it's got the worst rear leg room of any midsize sedan
- turbo and 6-cylinder models are tied for the worst fuel economy of any midsize sedan

Push to shove, the Altima 3.5SE, Camry SE V6, Accord EX V6, Galant GTS, and Malibu LT should provide - easily - what the Legacy lacks.

TSX eh? I just don;t know.....nice car, nice rep, blue chip quality, and comands a little respect, were as you buy a WRX, everyone except street racers and ralley guys question it...... alright, now lets talk the SUV..............( next year ) Forester Turbo VS honda CRX ( yuck) Toyota Rav 4 ( boo )

The best small SUVs are the Saturn Vue V6 and Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5 (GLS or LX). The Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute are definitely worth a look too.

Klostrophobic
How about the Saturn Vue AWD V6? If M5Power wanders on in here, he'll give you the 0-60 time, the 1/4 mile time, the gas tank capacity, the wheelbase, the interior room, the car height, the horsepower rating, and he'll probably mention something about it being the second or third quickest SUV available today.

The AWD model isn't the quick one (0-60 in 6.9), the 2WD is (0-60 in 6.6). Not just quick, Klos, but the best small SUV ever built.

TwinTurboJay
Did you guys know the Saturn Vue V6 is a honda engine? they traded GM engines for use of Onstar, thats why they are the only two manufacturers with OnStar

Volkswagen and Audi also use OnStar. But yeah - that's the reason the Saturn Vue V6 is so good, the Honda engine. Since Klos opened the door, the Vue V6 is the third-quickest SUV ever built - the quickest 2WD SUV - only behind the GMC Typhoon and Porsche Cayenne Turbo; it's quicker than all offerings from BMW and Infiniti (though, very soon, I'm going to have to stop lying and admit the BMW X5 4.8is exists) and the Porsche Cayenne S. It's also the fifth-quickest front-drive car on the market.

i know exactly what u mean man. that wrx is really something. ask on www.i-club.com or www.nasioc.com, they are two of the biggest impreza/subaru communities out there, great people and very mature, so u might have abetter response there. also, tell her awd is much safer and the subaru is a quality built reliable car too. and ..a camary? ugh, im sorry to hear.
