Should GT5 Get Neon?

I'd rather have something like a Bee-R Rev Limiter added, so all cars can shoot flames and crackle.

Cars already do that for the most part, so that seems like a wasted application.

Or just no would suffice, the only aero kits that are worth the time are those with actual function to them. Like the GT1/GT2/GT3 kits that can be applied.

Also neons...don't people mean LEDs

LOL i think we are devolving after seeing that...those cars looks like carriages from XVI century LOL...put some horses in the front please!! Hahahaha.

Back from the grave again, and look what I've found thanks to Top Gear:

But thats a bit off topic, so to get on topic again, I'll say this: I completely agree with this guy:

I just think it looks a little dumb on cars, lights should stay on the front.

LOL nice find! The "best" of both centuries! :dopey: Now put some neons in that thing and we have a winner! haha

In general there is so much wrong with the body kits in GT5, selection, function, you name it. There are several cars that I have wanted to tune but never did because it would be lacking a good body kit (I like the cars that I have worked on to SHOW that they have had work done and be discernible from their stock counterparts). I have my parameters for tuning, must have at least one stock car aside from the one that will be worked on, must always get the full suite of mods (I wont just do one piece of the mods, like add a turbo without doing anything else, it has to be the entire kit, if I mod a car for a race but without intention for a full tune like I did to one of my Gallardos for the Gallardo trophy, I only use pieces that can be then removed from the car after they served their purpose), and it must have a good looking kit to let me know that it is in fact the tuned car. Is it a bit strict? Yeah, but it keeps my garage organized and free of cars that are haphazardly modified. I wish GT5 gave me more options.

No kidding, I'd be more inclined to hang a bunch of regular lightbulbs from it, would do about the same......

Sorry but I voted no. PD and Kaz should invest their time in other, more useful things than neons to be honest.

I think in the next update GT5 should have a option for all cars to have Neon installed on there vehicle.

What do you guys think?

This would make most fans very happy.

Judging by the poll, totally the opposite.

I wish I could vote no more emphatically (spell check?) than the poll allows. That is one of the most useless features that could possibly be implemented. MCLA might be something you should look into 👍

Even a stupid CAT knows the answer! No no no no no no no... OH MY GOD PLEASE NOOOO! LOL

I'm just shocked that we haven't posted any pics of Neons with neons... or did I miss them?

Neons can be pulled off if done neatly.

Unfortunately Fast and the Furious made a hash of it. That, and NFS. But who takes those two seriously?

I have to agree with you here. Getting neon-lighting is not on my wishlist.

Yeah? Well personally sometimes I'm not in the mood to drive, or race or do anything that has to do with anything regarding the left brain.

Sometimes I wanna just kick back, customize, paint and perhaps add HID/LED/Neon to special areas of the car or perhaps even underneath.

You know, that whole "creativity" thing can be quite enjoyable.

Oh my God. This thread. I will come here whenever I'm depressed and I'm sorry OP but I will NEVER be able to take you seriously ever again. No thanks, if I want Neon, I play NFS or MC. Would you like some go faster stripes and some IC upgrades too? Maybe mold the speakers into the boot / trunk? haha

Yes that girl does look nice, why the 🤬 is the image at such an odd focus???:sly:

Edit; I'm probably in trouble for this post now :(

Not for me, Neon is frankly a bit council house and wouldn't like it on my cars.

No boyracer parts needed...

What we do need is :

-boost pressure
-valve timing
-over the top complicated real life tuning :-)
-exhaust smoke would be nice too

I voted that it doesn't matter much.

At night, neon lights illuminating the windy, twisted curves of the Ring would absolutely look fantastic. But again, it's not something I'd put before a livery editor. That, in my eyes, is a MUST.

I do not think neon fits with the style and image of Gran Turismo. If it did arrive I would not mind but I would never use it as I cannot stand all that after-market tuning and think that cars always looks superior when left as they were designed. Most people will disagree with me but I have always felt this way.

Most real life "wannabes" (not streetracers) have it installed on there vehicle.....

Fixed. also, if your street racing neons are bad bc A)they make you more visible and B)they add unnecesary weight. The only use i can think of for neons is for rice fail pictures. Neons are a no go there are "ricey" items that would be much more usefull. But, It would make spotting noobs easier online otherwise go back to Midnite Club or NFS

I'd rather have a livery editor, a lot more "creativity" can be done with that than..........lights..............

I want speed, not style.
Anyways, what type of racecar or cup car or any other race car has neons? Also, most of the tracks are in the day, so what's the point if you can' see them? What I think is that Polyphony Digital should spend more time doing other important things with GT5 or GT6.
