Yeeeep i don't mind waiting either. I am one of the fortunate people that can get online though. Even if I couldn't get online I wouldn't really care. I would just do another 24 hour endurance race at the Nurburgring 24h straight through. I still have to beat my personal record which currently is 25.5 hours total time.

Maintenance was supposed to end at 18:30 GMT (it's listed here on the official site), it's still going on as I can't sign in on my main account. Been on my other account for a bit, but there wasn't many online lobbies available, couldn't find anything suitable.

So 20 minutes to go before everyone can sign on.

I have having the exact same problem. Also, I can't access remote races. I also have a car to pass in a train.

But i am able to flip flops between two different accounts but my other say six to eight accounts can't.

I think it is because of the point tat having signed in the previous few days, I can still access those online aspects of the game, but am still unable to send items. I tried an account which hasn't been accessed for a week or so, and it's not letting me sign in to network. So all is explained.

It is interesting that we can access the network and online events, but can't send. Methinks there is more to this than meets the eye, maybe to do with the tickets which have been floating.

I sent a car last night when maintenance was underway, I sent it to an account that I can't sign into, it went ok. I just hope it turns up, & doesn't disappear into the digital ether! It was the pace car in the UCD, only had 629km on the clock, don't want to lose that hehe!

I have worked with computers most of my life and networking these last few years. Well just say someone brings a computer into the repair shop and you figure out what the problems are and you are saying "oh this will only take about 20 minutes to fix" then it turns into something that ends up taking a hour or more.

It all depends on what exactly they are fixing. I just kind of hope next time they have scheduled maintenance at least make the estimated time maybe double at first so there are not any surprises that leave people mad. Me I don't like surprises (no not even gifts I like to know what's going on) so i like to expect something instead of it change. I am sure that is the biggest part on many people in this thread. I mean the maintenance part shouldn't make you mad (technically it is your fault if you were surprised about the maintenance). But oh well.

Very possible. It unforutely makes sense. I hope that it isn't true, though. I still haven't gotten all the GTA tickets.

Well, its a Sony maintenance not PD so wouldn't fair / logic you cant play BF3 (BattleField3) cause some dupe GT-A tix.

Forgot to mention. Its been down for more than 27 hours after verification.

Yea, thats the part that I thought was odd. You can play online but you can't send anything. Not sure it has to do with the tickets tho, but who knows. I'm just hoping that by some miracle that it fixes the looping problem that some of us has been experiencing since the last update. I'm not holding my breath tho.

Games for older consoles generally had more to do offline so even if PSN existed back then, people probably wouldn't complain as much. But because the games of today are made to make about 50-75% of the game online play, you're going to get more complaints. It's midnight here, gave up and turned PS3 off.
