The chances of Xbox Live and Playstation Network being down at the same time simultaneously are very, very slim. And Xbox Live tends to go down far less often than PSN because people are paying to use it and Microsoft would have to give compensation to everyone if they kept it down for more than a few days.

I think it's more complicated than that, there are lots of people who pay for Playstation Plus, how is that different than paying for Live? It's even more of a slap in the face to those paying for PS+, they have to be online to play anygame they download! With services being down, they can't play anything downloaded.

There are even people that pay for services for certain games; ie, COD Season Pass; with servers down, they can't use what they paid for! Sony has some sucking up to do!

No..just no...

I've heard of a lot of people complaining (over at the playstation boards) they couldn't play their PS+ downloaded games, not regular downloaded games, keep that in mind. PS+ downloads go through authentication before you play it, to check if you're subscription is still active, once your subscription expires, you don't get to play them anymore, that's why they're so cheap.

I've had a PS+ account for a few months, when they gave them away after PSN got hacked, everything I downloaded, games, demos etc., didn't work after it expired!

I'v had PS+ about 2,5 years and no need to be online to play...
I bolded one part for reason from quote,if you need pay any money it works after subscription expires and everything for free doesn't work.

Ah, gotcha, I had mainly demos that stopped working, thanks for clarification.

Edit: I had a couple minis that stopped working too, maybe because they were free.

Does the "online interruptions" news refer to the problem we had yesterday or the looping problem from version 2.10?
Or completely unrelated ?

Unrelated. It was about the extended time of the scheduled PSN maintenance

k, maybe i've read it too quick. I thought they were saying folks might still have issue connecting online. Probably didn't considered the timeframe of the message.

Yeah that was what it was about haha

In NC, USA here and am STILL having issues with in-game connectivity.....Seasonals and OCD work fine (but a touch slow?) but adding friends and getting mail is atrocious at best.....like PD and PSN are at odds....PSN mail (XMB menu Friends/Mail) seems to be working perfectly....one other thing I notice is showing friends' activity in the XMB bar is at odds with what friends' activity shows to be in-game (community)
