Any good suggestions for a new 1/4 mile track for dragging? Indy is getting boring.

Special Stage Route X maybe? It's a 1/4 mile tunnel race :sly:!

I can't find them tunes

Don't worry I found them but they don't look like drag tunes are they supposed to be? And if they are can you add times?

I am pretty sure SSR5 is one.

It is when you get out of the pits and turn around. Then from the line on the bridge to the phone booth on the left.

I hate indy road course it isn't even a 1/4th mile... It is about a 1/8 mile

It is not 1/8 mile lol because the X track has a real 1/4 mile and hondas top out at 120-123mph there. In Indy we top out at like 119-121mph. So it can still be considered a 1/4 mile. And SSR5 & X track are common. I want a track NO ONE goes on. So if any one finds 1 let me know

Why would you want a track no one goes to? You would be all alone.
And why not take a car you have set for 1/4 to a track and test 1/4 mile spots. That way people telling you of places won't say common places.

I think he wants to find something new and fresh.

I know of one but just can think of it

Tuscona....theres a nice section of track in front of the pits and its very close to a 1/4 mile, you line up 2 wide with rear wheels at checkered paint and race to the beginning of 1st fence past the pit exit i think...cant remember now. You drive back on the pit side of road and there's a center-line to distinguish race lane and drive-back lane. Has that back road country racing vibe to it.

A bunch of us tried Fuji almost a year ago, there even was a thread about it here, never caught on...just like ssrx, people kept running 5 wide, need a track that helps distinguish a two wide race lane, Tuscona works well for that.

Indy is like 5m short off 1/4 to the shadow but yeah I can't think of any others until 15th when I get back to playing

This^^^. It's all been tried before, but none are that organized wich makes me wonder when these guys go Drag racing in real life, do they do it 'ala' Fast and Furious style 4-5 cars at once?? Didn't think so.

I always thought Indy was close to 30 meters short of the quarter...around 370, maybe my memory is failing too, I thought someone measured it out to that way back in the day.

It's still the one that makes more sense, if anything tune your tranny a bit shorter.

On Indy behind the shadow on the black and white rubble things thats where the 1/4mile mark is i think

It's just after shadow you guys can check by doing 1/4 spec x and check finishing speed then try braking on finishing speed from spec x on Indy if u spot rite then

It's about 9 car lengths short. Me and KT measured it.

Yep because back when I used to drag all the time later. The last car i had done was my GTR Black Edition (i know i know one of those crap cars) right before SSRX track came out.

My GTR topped out right after the shadow on idny road course.

On SSRX it topped out a good 1-2 if not more seconds before the 1/4 mark

^Depends on the cars too. We used McLaren MP4's

I'm honestly getting sick about hearing about the old days. There gone never coming back let them go guys this is our community. Also this section ain't dead despite the few trolls, a lot of new faces stronger teams wanting to join this site and not the other. So I think you should rethink your thoughts brother.
