A couple months ago OppositeLock ran a 4:01 with a 652 hp tuscan, and I ran a 3:59 with a 670?hp(fully powered) tuscan, so I think there is more than a 4:04. Then again we both ran with tcs so maybe that helped.
Might want to try a zonda too, get past the understeer and the paganis can fly.

Theres a 650Bhp limit here though so a fully tuned Tuscan is a no can do. As for the Zonda, I've had some killer laps before on mine, they're on another site but I'll have a look for them tonight.

3'56.719, but it was over the limit by a few Bhp around 675Bhp.

Another update...

R390 Road Car
623 HP
3:59.629

GT-One Road Car
630 HP
3:48.874

ASM/TCS for both was 0

I have no idea where that last lap came from! Verified HP and that it was the Road car...

Thank you Sough 👍 wouldve thought that a sub 4 was possible in the Tuscan, gonna have to have a go in the Zonda now!

Max: its Bollocks:)

NQ: Some nice times there mate 👍

Finally got in a skyline R-tuned run in and enjoyed it. Ran initial times of 4.17.5 @ 64_ hp.

Now Im gonna try a vette with approximately the same hp weight. (which means the vette only goes stage 1 weight reduction) Back later.

looks like NQ blazed the trail of my next mission. those are some fast laps for sure. it's pretty cool that the NA version is so much faster than the turbo. i love normally asperated motors.

Yup, I much prefer a highpowered NA to a High powered Turbo.

I sure wish that GT3 had a few 1000+ HP NA cars...

I think, for this track, the NA, though 30 HP less, allows the RGT to exit turns with a bit more grunt, since one doesn't have to wait for the turbo to spool up. I ran the Turbo first, and when I chased the Turbo ghost with the RGT NA, as we approached Turn 1, the Turbo was pulling away. As we went through the S Chicanes after Turn 1, though, the NA caught up and passed the Turbo in the left hander leading to the "zipper" boxed turns. In that section, the NA pulled away to about a 2 second lead, which it maintained through the remainder of the run, with the Turbo catching it slightly on the run to the Start/Finish line...

Ya know I think thats the one thing that bothers me about runs on the complex string... the consistancy needed to have good racing data.

If you run cxs and then run again, chances are you will get a better time, and for guys like me who aren't all that fast to begin with, everything is compounded because I never get a great lap in the first place, so every lap after has atleast one spot where it can catch up or fall behind.

Other tracks... you can nail the lap up to T2 and then ride it out conservatively only to end with a good lap, but on cxs, you can never let up or screw up... either one and your past lap will catch you. Or for that matter, if you don't do either, you will beat your past lap, once again setting a new goal for yourself that will be nearly impossible to continue perfecting.

I guess what Im trying to say is this... (very simply)

CXS is so long that you can always find a way to make up time on a lap. (unless it is that final lap you plan to turn in. ;) )

Anyway, Im gonna run some today, so I will be back later with results...

btw, ran a vette with the same pwr as the r-tuned skyline and it pulled in a full 1.5 seconds faster on similar laps. (both still have 2 seconds worth of cleaning up to do. :D )

Later.

Update for the RGT NA: 4:02.813

There's is possibly a sub 4:00 here with this car, but it would take a flawless effort...

Off to give the Zonda a try ;)

Just ran a new gt-one road/630 hp...

3'50.066

Will be back with what I can do on a tuscan at *full power... till then, later.

New Time: 3'48.453

A tiny, tiny off track, so it's not technically clean. But the off track was to no advantage and most likely cost me time. So for now Im working towards a perfectly clean lap that matches that time...

Anyway, thats the new time though. :D

Later.

Live4Speed is that time with the tuscan or zonda? Either way very nice! Any chance you could upload the replay to the thread?

I just ran a few laps with a simulation mode stock GT ONE ROAD CAR and a n arcade mode GT ONE RACE CAR.
ASM and TCS off.

ROAD CAR-3:56:872
RACE CAR-3:52:764

Ill try the LANCER later.

That was in a Zonda, it was at 675Bhp with all racing parts, It's from a competition a while back at sc.net. I don't have anything to get a replay onto the PC unfortunately. It's from a competition a while back.

If you need to upload your replay! .... i'm not to far away from you going by your location ;)

I live in Middleton / Manchester

gimme a shout and we'll see about uploading via my Xport :D

Yo P...

Thats awesome of you. Offering help like a standup member of the gtp should. :)

I would love to meet many of the people on the board in real life, that would be awesome... maybe a few drinks, some trash talkin, a game of billards and then of course, some gt3... that would be awesome. Oh well.

But yeah, live4speed, I would jump on that offer... not only do you get to meet one of the fastest racers out there, but you would also get to prove your times and get those replays up.

Trust me, nothing is better than letting everyone know your for real with your racing.

I thought about it the other day when I was bored, Max, but i wasn't sure how rigorously to apply the rules as laid out in the first post...

Just to reiterate VolvoR's post:

A non race car (tuner cars are ok)
Has less than 650 hp
ASM and TC are OFF

Anything else goes...

The info I'll need is:

Time
Driver
Car
HP

I can put together a leaderboard based on that criteria in about a half hour...

Ok, here's what I put together...

Just a note: If a time was posted with a TCS other than 0, I did not include it. Also, I did not include any Race Car times...

moved to next page...

Yo No Quarter, Take my name off of the top.

bull tish, you don't HAVE to have the TCS off. if that's the rule i'm changing it :D

seriously though, if the rule is that the TCS MUST be off, i'd rather not participate if it's all the same with everybody. it's a little too confining and kind of takes too much out of it.

Hmm, well hell yeah max.

I support that not only because it will put my time at the top of the list, but also because driving with tcs off is like saying "you must setup your car's suspension this way"...

Making people adhere to strict settings guidlines is just a great way to make good tuners have a bad race.

So if you would like to take the time No Quarter I would love to be on that list again...

Later.

updated...

I personally feel that the question of running TCS or not is a skill factor, and not a "tuning" restriction, but, since I didn't set the rules and this is an "informal" spot race... *shrugs*

Sorry about any other omitted times, but on 56K, it's getting to be a pain to sift through 5 pages of times.

If anyone wants to update, feel free to "quote" then copy the table, and paste into a new post, with updates... ;)

i guess the only reason i wanted the choice is because some of us are'nt very "skilled" and we kind of need our "tuning" to be unrestricted. i need that TCS to "lean on" myself :O

Yeah, sorry bout that no quarter... racers like me need all the help we can get... with our lack of skills, sometimes we just need an unfair advantage.

Thanks for letting me do so. Otherwise my skills might only be able to pull a last place performance.
