New ARmax code and Xploder v4

A shame with such a good weather :)

I have tried to activate my (2 year old) AR2v2 for the first time but can't even get it to work. :sly: Is there a manual existing?

I don't get my AR2v2 to work. It's the first time I use it, so could someone maybe spend a minute to check what I do wrong, or what I forget to do?

- PS2 memory card in left tray, AR2v2 in right,

When the GT4P disc wants to boot, the screen becomes black and remains black :guilty:

Remark : probably I need the Arcade Car Modifier Codes Slot 1 (Serie Cars):
WXXX-YKE0-Y39QG somewhere, but the program does not convert these. Could that be the problem?

I read some remarks about m and M codes, what are they for?

You're supposed to leave out only the first line after converting the code into v2 format, not half of them.. for example:

Thanks a lot Speed Drifter, I typed in your codes, and got the Celica! Great car btw 👍

Then I used the first line of your car codes for other cars (as the conversion with MAXConvert v0.6 only gives me one (the second) line, and I got the Datsun Bluebird and Honda 1300.

But ...

I don't see where your master code comes from, but I suppose I need this for all the changes in cars or tracks?

I don't understand neither where you got that first line for the Celica, as the converter program only gives me the second line.

So I guess I need another "first" line to get converted codes for race cars in slot 11 and another one for other tracks?

Would it be possible to post this codes too, as I don't see a way to convert them myself?

On street tyres, there's more realism in the replays with this car, and driving the GT becomes much more challenging and fun 👍

I've gone and merged VV's codes so they aren't stand alone anymore for the AR MAX. Also I've added a few cars in so you can use Road/Normal/Sports or Racing tyres where you usually couldn't. I could add the rest if anyone wants them but otherwise I'll leave them as is for the time being because I'm really limited on time (learning MIPS assembly to decrypt the "core.gt4" file which is taking up all my time at present). :(

These are a mixture of VV & Codejunkies codes so I take no credit for them, all I did was make them work seamlessly with the existing Prologue codes (correct categories/sub categories).

BTW I have a question. Does anyone know the code to increase the number of laps to 5 or 10 instead of 2 laps (for Tsukuba/New York/Fuji/Citta di Aria no AI). And possibly also a code which allows you to race with the roof off cars that support it (see car selection screen) i.e. MR-S S Edition, MX-5, SL55 AMG etc it should be possible as theres models in the car selection screen without them.

I'm confused for the missing "H" at the end of the Ford GT code. :ouch:

Actually, I have no solution for the codes that you search (to drive the Cuda, to increase the number of laps, to drive with the roof off) . :guilty:
 
There's something weird with the Datsun Bluebird. In 3rd person view (close behind), you're glued against the trunk of the car :crazy:

The other views are OK.

The car sticks too much to the road imo. With the little power available, there's not much excitement to drive it. I couldn't finish one lap on Fuji as I quickly became too bored.

Hope it improves (more distant view and worse handling :) ) in the final game.
 
Aren't there codes known to change the distance your behind and above your car in 3rd person view?

The short view is too close to get a proper view of the track and in the other I'm getting dizzy of being wiped from left to right in rally mode :dopey: :sick:

Ideal would be a code to increase the distance and angle from the second view to those of the 3rd, but keeping the position relative to the car as in the 2nd.
 
I have AR Max Evo (NTSC U.S.) GT4 Prologue (NTSC Japanese) I've managed to find the (M) code and all cars/lessons code for GT4 Prologue NTSC Japan, but I need them in Action Replay Max format. I've used MAXCONVERT but when I enter the (M) code in my AR Max it says not a master code!

I made some laps with the R390GT1 on the Grand Canyon Tarmac track. Some replay screens looked like coming out of the last editions of the Targa Florio or the Tour de France. Nice nice :)

no, but on Citta di Aria if you have opponents on and difficulty on Pro.. you'll get 5 laps on Citta di Aria and there are no opponents

or you can always turning your car around at the start of the race, do 8 laps backwards turn around and you'll get 10 laps forwards ..

with the AR codes.. am I able to download them onto the max drive?
It won't let me get new update thought my PS2 NA broadband connection but it will let me use Max Instant Messenger :confused:
or... do I have to type all the codes in? :odd:

Yeah I know about the opponents option (works with Grand Canyon too), but it doesn't solve the problem with Tsukuba & Fuji though.

Umm with the newer AR MAX's I think you can. I own the older AR Max (v3.14, bought ages ago) so if I wanted to use the updates I need to copy the ".bin" file from the MAX Drive onto an actual PS2 memory card and the AR MAX uses them from there (bit of a waste). The AR MAX online update component doesn't work for anyone in Aus (I'm guessing it's a timeout problem, AU -> UK AR MAX is not allowing enough time for the response).

Just type the codes in you need, that's all I do.

I've found a way to change the number of laps for the races with opponents (to replace 2,3 or 5 laps).
But it's not a simple manipulation. It's not an AR Code. You must build a rip of the Pal Game and put a patched file in this rip.

And I've not found how to change the number of laps for the races without opponents (the famous 2 laps). :guilty:

I have problems changing the New York track into Grand Canyon Tarmac. I've tried both codes, but the cars start above the track, and when you fall down, the road isn't tarmac...
