New ARmax code and Xploder v4

I recently bought a cheat disc with AR2 codes to unlock HK on GT4P, and found that it didn't work because my PAL PS2 is a version 1.0 (or something like that)... but the codes work on newer machines... does anyone know if this means that the full version of AR2 wouldn't work on my PS2?

Do you mean you have a chipped Japanese V1 PS2 in the UK???.......If you do then your the same as me!.......I don't dare buy a UK AR MAX if it aint gonna work!
 
I think Sony upgraded the boot bios of the PS2, because I have a launch PS2 (PAL) and a Satin silver (PAL). The Action Replay 2 works on the launch system but not on the silver PS2, so if you bought this new action replay card it won't work on the old machines because it is coded for the new boot routine of the latest machines. And because of this I went out and bought the Xploder V4 disc for the satin silver PS2 model.
 
I have the latest version of AR Max (bought last week to open up Prologue) and have a V1 PAL PS2 (bought on day of launch in the UK) all the codes work fine on it.

However it is worth noting that the track codes (HK, Grand Canyon North and Gymkana) all have two versions of the codes. A standard and alternative, the standard ones work fine on my PS2 but the alternative one does nothing. I believe that this is to cover different versions of PS2.

All the other codes I have tried work fine.

One very nice feature of the latest version of AR Max is that it provides an interface with USB datasticks, which is a much better bet than using a memory card.

Also it comes with software that allows you to burn CD-Rs (not CD-RWs) which can then be played back on your PS2. This has proved to be quite addictive as a means of getting all my Best Motoring, etc video clips in a form that allows me to watch them on a decent size TV rather than on my PC. Does not work with all video formats, but changing format with the right software is not difficult.

The alternative one leaves New York in the game and only activates Hong Kong after you press R3.

And yes, the USB datastick reader (for the Max Drive, but that's basically just a USB datastick) software addition is great, and the Media Player isn't bad either, though not nearly perfect - the quality of MP3 playback for instance is still a bit shabby. However, it does work which isn't bad.

What do you mean no Mastercode?? You have to put a Mastercode in because otherwise i cant start a game!!???

Do you have Xploder v4 pro???

I should have said don't use that mastercode with them codes you posted, I use this one

Bought AR Max yesterday (PAL) for Euroversion and typed in the codes for the 1600 Bluebird but couldn't get it working. Are there 3 or 4 lines of code to type in? Typed in the Arcade Car Modifyers Code on the first line,is this correct?
 
I didnt even bother with the arcade car modifier code. I just typed in the 3 line code for each car and saved it.
 
If you want to have the Ford GT in the first slot, with street tyres, just use :

Is anyone having the problem where the slot 1 cars when run on Grand Canyon (normal version) revert back to the 240ZG? I tried running the Lancer 1600 GSR there and no luck. :(

(This is using the codejunkies revised slot 1 & 11 codes, it did the same with the older codes released a couple of weeks back)

Sorry, but the Cuda could not be completely unlocked. :guilty:
Graphic data (polygons) are in the DVD, but physical engine data were removed by PD.
So we can just change the graphics of an existing car in the game, then replace them by those of the Cuda, but without change physical car reactions and motor sound.

In the video with the Cuda on Fuji Speedway, the physical reactions and the motor sound of the car are those of a SL55. :sly:

I have the NTSC Japanese ver of GT4 Prologue, if I send the needed files can someone hack some codes for the Action Replay MAX?

Pretty please with a turbo on top :bowdown:
