Of course no one complains at all once they've seen the car a few times. That's the really funny part - all these judgments are made after looking at a rough image of a pre-production model for ten seconds.
I still think the BMW 1/3/5/6/Z4/X3, Chevrolet Corvette C6 and Porsche Cayman are ugly. The current X5 is the only new BMW I would want, aside from the restyled BMW 7.
Same here. Even after I saw the Cayenne in person, I thought it was ugly. Impressive, yes, because it's a Porsche... but ugly nonetheless.
RE: BMW's new models, I still don't find a 5-series or a 7-series pretty, but I don't find them as reprehensible as they used to be. The 1-series still strikes me as one of the worst offenses in terms of "corporate faces" ever built, but I've always found the other parts of the car interesting.
