Details just keep flooding in.

Take2Games has today announced as part of its financial results that GTA: San Andreas will ship one week later than expected, to allow for final testing of the game.

The game will now be available on October 26th in North America and October 29th in Europe. It is not yet known if release dates will change for other territories, such as Australia/New Zealand, where the original release date was the 28th of October.

That was the bad news, now for the good news:

Additional products planned for fiscal 2005 from Rockstar Games include Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for PC in the third quarter, as well as two new console titles based on proven brands from Rockstar's internal studios, in the third and fourth quarters. Rockstar also plans to release Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in Japan in fiscal 2005.We're not joking,so PS2 owners can expect to be playing this October, and PC gamers will be having the fun sometime in April, May or June 2005.

Even more news, this time concering Las Venturas:

-There are plenty of casinos to gamble in, like the V-Rock Casino, styled like the Hard Rock Cafe. Other Casinos include "The Visage", "Pirates in Men's Pants", "Caligula's Palace" and "The Pink Swan".

- While in a casino, there are a variety of minigames available to play, such as Blackjack, Video Poker, Wheel of Fortune, Slots and Craps.

- Elvis Presley impersonators are present in Las Venturas for a little bit of drunken humor.

- The famous Las Vegas cowboy sign is included in San Andreas, but features Avery Carrington (of Vice City Fame) instead.

- A giant Candy Suxx statue adorns the exterior of one of Las Venturas' buildings.

Oh well, a one week delay isn't bad, it's not like a delay of HL2 proportions. Those screens pwn though, first we've seen of Las Venturas!

Sweet, I'll lose all my money there then go rob a bank then gamble that money away:lol:

I haven't been online in a few days, so I'm reading everything at once here!

Also, you can only start forest fires. It is possible to bury people outside of missions I believe, and there will be missions with this included. I also think Australia will be delayed, too.

I love every bit of this new info. The Elvis Presley impersonators from GTA 2 are back!! God yes. It's strange how there are monuments of most of the important characters... I also like the Health bar in the menu thing. 👍 Wonder if Las Venturras will be ugly in the daytime like Las Vegas? It still owns. And skateboards...where'd that come from. Still...sweet!

I think these teaser sites will be for San Fierro, and 2 other teaser sites will come out for Las Ventura.

Here's the full article on Las Venturas:

As many know, the main attraction that Las Venturas will offer is the casinos. EGM touched up a lot on this subject. Rockstar, who is known for their humor, included a lot of puns to be noticed in Las Venturas. V-Rock Casino will be one of the many casinos found in Las Venturas. This will be an imitation of the “Hard Rock Café”. If you remember the station “V-Rock” in Vice City, you will remember that it was a heavy metal station. This will be the theme of the V-Rock Casino.

Another casino, Caligula’s Palace, will take after Caesar’s Palace. If you do not know what Caesar’s Palace is like, it has an Egyptian theme to it. This is probably what Caligula’s Palace will be like.

This next one should be quite obvious. In Las Vegas, there is a place called the Mirage, which has a heavy tropical theme to it. Well, in Las Venturas, there is a place called The Visage. It should have the same theme to it as well.

This next one is kind of funny and strange. Rockstar also has made a casino that relates to the famous Treasure Island. However, they will call it Pirates In Men’s Pants. This casino will have a pirate theme to it.

If you have ever heard of a place in Las Vegas called The Flamingo, then you will be glad to hear that there is a place similar to this in Las Venturas called The Pink Swan. The theme to The Pink Swan will most likely be an old school Vegas style.

It is said that Rockstar have put a lot of detail and time into the casinos. Not every casino will be accessible, but many of them will be. There is also many things to do once inside the casinos. Obviously you can gamble. Some of the games include blackjack, slots, video poker, roulette, wheel of fortune, and craps. If you make CJ a high roller, you will be sure to gain respect. Also, there will even be drunken Elvis impersonators straying around the casinos (oh great).

The famous neonlight cowboy sign that is in Las Vegas will also be in Las Venturas. However, Rockstar tweaked it a bit. The sign in Las Venturas will have Avery Carrington from Vice City on it instead.

There is quite a few ties between San Andreas and Vice City that will be in the game. One building will have a huge Candy Suxxx figure on it. Maybe she made it big time? Who knows.

Okay, don't point out triple post, but this is for a reason. The info just keeps rollin' in!

Just general news:

- When you are inside the Dodo, there is an altimeter showing you exactly how high you are. Along with that, we hear that the number of airborne vehicles have 'vastly increased' including the faster and more maneuverable biplane Crop Duster. You can perform death-defying barrel loops, hammerheads and rolls to impress the country folk.

- If you cycle all of the way up Mount Chilliad on a BMX, which takes a good 30 minutes, you'll have to option to take part in a race to the bottom where competitors will even try to knock you off the mountain!

- There is now a fully working bull dozer that allows you to go on a wrecking rampage, flipping cars, terrorizing sidewalks and causing as much mayhem as possible. It's also said that Rockstar North have made vast improvements to the level of interaction with the environment, and as such there's now much more opportunity to completely destroy everything, whether it be discarded milk crates, white picket fences, plants, outdoor furniture or anything else that looks like you should be able to destroy it with a big and powerful vehicle.

- In the countryside you can start fires in many ways, including throwing a molotov cocktail or detonating a car. The smallest flame can start a forest fire. Even buildings in the path of the fire will burn down. The fire department usually arrive in time to extinguish the fire, but sometimes you may have to use your own fire extinguisher to clear a path, or even rescue someone from a fire. Missions perhaps?

- You have the ability to do "Trucker Missions" for a company called RU Haul. These will have a timer, and will most likely be sub-missions such as Vigilante in previous games.

- The game not only records whether it's day or night, but will even record which day of the week it is! The moon will also slowly go through it's 30 day cycle, changing slightly every night.

- Weapons have skill attributes assigned to them, and you can build up the following skills by using the weapons more and more:
Reload Time, Fire Rate, Accuracy, Weapon Stance & Movement, Dual Weapons

That 'general news' is like the icing on the cake. It is still impressive at how detailed they make the game.

I think you can only start fires in the country, and I would think only cabins, lodges and houses would set alight. I doubt they would burn down. I just think the whole inside of the place will look burnt, the house would be black and the cars, etc would blow up. I'm guessing it would then reset next time you load up.

That news sounds great. I love the whole upped manouverability of the planes:D

BTW Jimmy, there is an edit button for a reason.

OK, from some fan sites (That seem to be over obssesed) have heard that there may be more assasination missions. And not just meaning sniping. From what they hear, you will be able to plant a bomb and detonating it. Or so a car bomb to wipe out an area. Alot of terriost like stuff. But they think these features may not be in. :indiff:

I don't know about wiping out areas with bombs, but things like blowing up a car or sniping or even the breaking into a house seem the obvious things to expect in 'hit' missions.

Btw Blake, people will have read the info, and not looked back at the original post. It would also be too long. And it's better to divide the information into separate posts. Can you please stop pointing out little mistakes like the "Edit" button and posting the forum rules all the time when somebody slips up. Really annoying.

I meant by killing a bunch of people.

BTW, Jimmy, the alot of the state is going to be...what's the word...err...like where hitting a mailbox with a bat will leave dents. Like interactive enviroment. Alot of the state will be that right?

A few snippets of info from the Australian mag GamePro:

Dialouge Boxes: When communicating with NPCs, players will be given simple answer options for posed questions.

Climbing: Your character now has the ability to jump, gra-on and climb over almost any "reachable" object in the game. This includes crates and backyard fences with animations reminiscent of the foot component of Tony Hawk Underground.

Altitude: Gamers expecting the flat terrain of Vice City will be shocked by the extreme variety in altitude through SA. Not only is there a mountain, but the countryside drifts between highs and lows like a drawn out rollercoaster. Even in the cities there are some sharp slopes, which is great for jumps.

Vehicle Jacking: Almost everything in the game can be jacked. In our demo we saw; pushbikes, motorbikes, quad-bikes, dirt-bikes, Harley's, Monster Trucks, 4WDs, convertibles, lowriders, dinghys, tractors, combine harvesters, speedboats, helicopters, light-planes, trams and there were some tasty hints regarding trains and possibly even skateboards. The animations and AI reactions were quite varied too.

That'd be awesome, If theres a useable skateboard in the game. If the BMX bicycle is there then why not. It'd be cool if there was a skatepark too.👍

Well, basically. It won't be all like that, but I think this game will surprise us with the amount of things we're going to be able to do. I think there will be alot more things to run over, dent, etc. Rockstar's Sam Houser said a while back that the environment will be many times more interactive than Vice City.

Two new screenshots, here's a quote from GTAGaming:
"The first screenshot shows us a very cool and new perspective of the dirt bike (and also a little preview of the SA Enforcer of in the distance). The second screenshot, a great way for Rockstar to show off their claim of "fully-rendered interiors," is an inside look of Carl's house."

this game is blowing my mind with every bit of new info, and i love the graves fires modding your car and even the new things like bmx bikes and possibly a skate board (maybe you could perform tricks...hopefully) im suprised its not a 2 disk game.

It's duel layer DVD so you don't have to have two seperate ones. R* rocks.

Graves seem to be a little sadistic (yeah yeah GTA isn't exactly the nicest game i know, but it seems a little extra nasty). Don't get me wrong, i won't complain, but it'll add to the complaints from all those who love complaining about this sort of shee-at.

Love how much more open the game is sounding, and how much more interaction is being added.

There's some more info from the latest EGM magazine that featured info on Las Venturas.

- Rockstar have based the famous neon cowboy figure on Vice City's Avery Carrington. There is also a billboard featuring Candy Suxxx.
-The "V-Rock Casino" is San Andreas' version of the famous Hard Rock Café.
-Rockstar have added many famous landmarks to Las Venturas, some of which include: Caligula's Palace (Caesar's Palace), the Visage (The Mirage), Pirates in Men's Pants (Treasure Island), and the Pink Swan (The Flamingo).
-You can enter 'most' of the casinos. You can gamble at anytime of the day.
Within the casinos, you can play blackjack, craps, slots, roulette, video poker, wheel of fortune and more.
-Different casinos offer different gaming options.
-You must earn respect before gambling with the 'big boys'.
-Cesar's full name is "Cesar Vialpando", and he's a proud member of the Varrios Los Aztecas (A Los Santos gang).
-Las Venturas features "drunken Elvis impersonators"!
-The casino interiors are incredible - marbled walls, detailed carpets and chandeliers.

Sorry some of the info has been heard before.

This game is looking so good...

Out of curiousity... WTF is "Craps" I've never been able to work it out... does anyone know the rules?

C.

Actually R32GTST/M, that info was posted not long ago, I'm sure. All of it, too.

I don't think graves will be much of an issue. It's sadistic yes, but I think that's the point. I don't think that will get many complaints. Things like Cigarrettes might. But I think the only thing that will grab any parents' attention will be if they include animals.

Also, I might be wrong here, but I think those images you linked us to (donbenni) might have also been posted. Might not have been though. Can't be bothered checking!
