Classic stuff 👍 This game couldn't come sooner. Gonna spend SO much time just cruising around San Andreas picking up the sites and checking out the cities. You could spend hours, days even. Damn, i'm gonna fail this year at uni! But it'll be worth it.

Yeah. I'm gonna fail my last year of schooling. But it will be worth it.

By the way, that first article above is pretty much exactly the same as the article I posted and copied into here...odd. :odd: But still, if people can't be bothered going back a page, they can find it all here!

The interview's good though. 👍

Heh....freshman year at high school....great year to fail
I'll spend the first few days of the game just driving every car I can get my hands on. Betcha by the fourth day I'll have memorized the expressway routes :D

man this is gonna rock just for fun im going to go to rival gangs try to talk to them and see if i can make wise cracks about their mama..lol.

s13drifting -- Lol. You can, or something along the lines of it. With every person in the game, you can talk to them. You press a button, and a list of different things to say to that person come up (or something along the lines of that).

You're not talking about me are you? That's you right?

New Info on the PStwo:
Sony today confirmed the PStwo will launch on November 1st, 2004 in North America, Europe and Oceania, at a price of $149/€149/£104.99. The new console is substantially smaller than the original, weighing half, with internal volume reduced by 75%. A network port is also included, making the network adapter obsolete for the new machine. No mention is made of any bundles, but speculation that the GTA: San Andreas release date had been pushed back to allow the console to be marketed alongside it is still rife. The slim machine will be showcased at this week's Tokyo Game Show.

I spoke to a friend I haven't talked to for a couple of months who works for Sony in the UK. As we were talking, I asked him whether he had any news of Gran Turismo 4, which unfortunately he didn't.

He did say that GTA -SA had just passed the testing process. So I would say it's going to hit its release date.

Not my kind of game, but I thought all that were waiting would like to know.

It's not the testing or the completion of the game that's holding it back, they are going to bring it out in conjunction with the PStwo, so that they can put the console and GTA:SA in a pack to encourage more people to buy the PStwo.

R* is just toying with us. I'm sure they'll release something big,, without it being to big just to get us to go out and go crazy.

That may be the case, but at least the game is finished. Which is something that can't be said about GT4. :(

Actually, the game isn't fully finished. When it passes the testing process, it only means it's fully running. They can test it even if it's only 1% completed (but noone ever would obviously). They haven't figured out what the are going to do with a few aspects, and an article came out explaining this probably just over a week ago. They also haven't finished some textures (my guess would be Cop Car, as they only textured them fully at the last minute in GTA III and Vice City). But it is 98% done.

Yeah 'cause all the cop cars look like Vice City's cop cars (texture wise).

I can't wait for SA to come out. I just preordered my copy today. Didn't have to pay a cent for it either, I traded in a couple old games and now I play the waiting game.

"Ahh the waiting game sucks, lets play Hungry Hungry Hippos!"

Blake -- What do you mean all the Cop Cars look like Vice City Cop Cars?

All the SA cop cars have the green front and back like VC cop cars.

No they don't...

Goto the R* website and watch the video at the police station...

They're black and white?!

 yeah I was talking about me failin Freshman high school year....

Hahaha when San Andreas comes out I'm gonna map a race around the WHOLE state and see who can get the fastest time.

i think it would be funn and its at the most 1 minute to wait for a even time to go and i think everyone would be honest. btw im getting kinda angry right now a new playstation and theres a barage of good games comming out and for the longest time there was none.

That just reminds me of the video, rendezvous in Paris where some guy in a ferrari put a camera in his car and drove to the other end of the paris as fast as he could. It was amazing especially when none of it was staged and the people that were running out of the way were really scared ****less. I'd like to try that in San Andreas.:)👍

A few people have done that. You should watch Getaway in Stockholm. One awesome video I have is "Ghost Rider". This guy drives around everywhere (I think in England) as fast as he can on a Motorbike. He does Wheelies in heavy traffic at 200Km/h+!

I've seen that too, as for the rendezvous in paris video, I once had it downloaded onto my computer but now I can't find it. I guess I might have deleted it....Stupid me.:dunce: The Rendezvous movie was actually filmed in the 70's. Amazing video, but very dangerous driving.

More info on the PStwo:
SONY confirmed the use of Blu-Ray, 'a format six times larger than a DVD-ROM'... which holds about 54GB of game data.

-----------

This is good. I'm guessing GTA: San Andreas, which already got put onto Dual Layer, will run better on this PStwo. They already said that the game might have some difficulty sometimes on the PS2, so the PStwo looks like a quick fix. It's now quite tempting to buy it, depending on how much it costs.

I don't really want one but if SA doesn't work well on the PS2 I s'pose I might have to get it.

Nah... Blu ray is for the PS3 not the PStwo... the PStwo will have a DVD/CD drive in it...

Good news is that Blu-Ray will be able to read DVD's and CD's so they will probably make the PS3 backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1...

Sony confirms PS3 will use Blu-ray Disc ROMs

15:08 How does 54 GB of storage space grab you? That's the size of the Blu-ray Disc ROM (or BD-ROM if you're an acronym fan) that Sony have confirmed the PS3 will use.
Roughly six times larger than a DVD-ROM, BD-ROMs are high density, single sided, dual-layer discs capable of storing ridiculously high resolution MPEG2-TS signals - and absolutely massive games.

Don't chuck out your CDs, DVDs and PS2 games just yet, though. Sony have indicated that they're developing a single optical technology that will read signals from BD-ROMs as well as CDs and DVDs. Not only will you be able to continue using your PlayStation as your entertainment hub, but this also bodes well for PS2 backward compatibility.
