Hi,once more.Right now i am on vacation as some of you may have noticed.A lot of new info and screenshots have appeared since i left,it's good to see other people keeping this thread up to date.
Right now i'm writing this from some crappy i-net cafe in Miami.I'll be back the 14th of August.

This might be old news, but here's some, quite bad news, about the ragdoll effect:

On the Spot, Gamespot's live weekly webcast, has just finished. The show featured a segment about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, where executive editor Greg Kasavin gave a round up of all the confirmed features in San Andreas and answered a few questions about the game from Gamespot's premium members. I was lucky enough to have my question about the blurry 'trails' effect answered (listen out for "Neil Christie from Scotland"). Greg basically said that it hasn't been confirmed nor denied, but he thinks it will be back. On the topic of ragdoll physics [aka impact animation], a comment was made that it will not be present in the game, a stark contrast to another gaming publication's coverage.

This means bad news. I hope Rockstar doesn't take off other features they said they would be present.
 
They said they would have it, it was one of the bigger features of the game. I really hope they still have it. Now you've made me nervous:(
 
Maybe implementing the ragdoll physics took up too much juice from the PS2? I'd rather have something like increased draw distance as opposed to ragdoll physics and low fps.

True true the ps2 is getting a bit old now!
 
It's still a great system considering how long it's been around. They never should have said they'd have it if the system can't handle it.

Thats what makes me think, why would it be confirmed info? and then so close to the release just remove a large portion of the game and its code.
 
I think the PS2 can handle it. The PS2 can handle GT4, so surely it can handle GTA: SA with ragdoll physics? I'm still hoping it'll be there, as they look great in Hitman.
 
Yeah, it should be able to handle it and I think they'll put it in. It would be a huge disapointment if it wasnt:(
 
It will be there, don't worry too much. I believe the comment was made by a Rockstar person, but it was only to get people anxious to get the game.

Also, can anyone get onto www.gta-sanandreas.com ?? I can't seem to lately.

Neither can i it must be down since they changed the layout!. Ive been wanting to get onto there forums for about 3 days now.

GREAT PICS MAN!

Finally, swimming.

That was the dumbest thing about GTA:VC.
Tommy can go around blowing of 100s of people, cars, etc, but it can't swim? That is totally stupid!

But I am liking the look of this new game. Looks alot brighter than VC. IMO, VC was a little to dark, even in daytime. GTA3 city lights helped it.

That set has to be the best they've released so far. Highways look incredible! Man i can't wait for this game.

Go to page 7 in this thread, and there should be a link to Gamespot.

Gamespot is WAY WAY better than IGN. Although IGN does get pretty sweet videos, I find pics of games that are awesome, while IGN says, they get every photo released and put it immediately on thier site. Lieing son of a b***hes.
Gamespot has photos I've yet to see on other sites.

Anyways, PSM has said, they are getting a bunch of new pics plus alot more info on it. Should be a good article. Will also have more on GT4 and others.

I usually buy games from Central Park Interactive. That's where i've got GT4 pre-ordered too, and GTA:SA as well i think... must find out about that.

Does'nt Central park have that 30% buy back aswell, thats kinda good if u get bored of it (not that, that wll hapen wit GTA: SA).
