we have the Nissan GT-R N24 GT Academy ’12, a car that raced in the 2012 Nürburgring 24 hour race. The eagle-eyed (or those with a good memory) will recall that the GT-R N24 is included at no extra cost with the GT5: Academy Edition.
The GT-R N24 GT Academy was developed by the Nissan GT-R development team and set up by software engineers from Polyphony. In the Nürburgring 24 hour race, Team GT Academy – which included Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi and the first European GT Academy winner Lucas Ordonez – took the car to a win in the SP8T class. Relive the victory at the Nürburgring with this car.

Subaru BRZ S ’12 ($.99) €0.99/£0.79

SUBARU BRZ S ’12, a compact front engine rear wheel drive (FR) powered by a horizontally opposed engine.
The production model prototype was announced at the Tokyo Motorshow in November 2011 and the car is a sibling to the Toyota 86 that was announced sometime prior. In addition to the different front grill and foglights, the car’s driving feel with its suspension settings that focus more on stability and control reflects the sports car philosophy and heritage of Subaru. In the BRZ you can enjoy and get to grips with an FR layout sportscar; a set-up that’s becoming more and more of a rarity these days.

Honda weider HSV-010 (SUPER GT) ’11 ($.99) €0.99/£0.79

Next is the Honda Weider HSV-010 (SUPER GT) ’11, a racecar that competed in the GT500 class of Japan’s Super GT series.
The HSV-010 debuted in 2010 as heir to the Honda NSX-GT. The car is a front engine rear wheel drive vehicle powered by a 3.4 litre V8 based on an engine designed for Formula Nippon. The car achieved a team and driver double title-win in its debut year, and this 2011 model utilises side radiators to optimise weight distribution, further improving its cornering performance. Add this high performance Honda Racing machine to your virtual garage.

"Update 2.08
A free downloadable update coming next week will add several new enhancements to GT5, as well as correcting some reported issues. A few examples of the update 2.08 include:
Now possible to select “Disable collisions” in the [Event Settings] of online races.
ID’s are now shown above cars when watching online races.
Response of the clutch pedal when using the steering wheel controllers “G25 Racing Wheel”, “G27 Racing Wheel”, “T500RS” and “TH8RS” has been adjusted.
Rate of tire wear in endurance races has been slowed (excluding formula cars).
Amount of air resistance change when altering aerodynamic wing settings has been increased.
Autopilot has been adjusted to prevent colliding with the wall when exiting the pit lane on the Tsukuba circuit.
Adjusted the changes in control characteristic when altering vehicle height from standard height. (Vehicle height can be changed by adjusting ride height, either by installing a suspension kit or adjusting a full customizable suspension kit.)"

Hello Gran Turismo fans
Hot on the heels (or should that be wheels) of the recent news on the forthcoming GT5: Academy Edition, I am delighted to announce that there’s even more to look forward to for fans of all things automotive.
On Wednesday 26 September (same day as the launch of GT5: AE) we will be launching three brand new items of DLC for Gran Turismo 5.
Here’s the rundown of what’s on its way to a PS3 near you:

The first DLC on the list adds the SUBARU BRZ S ’12, a compact front engine rear wheel drive (FR) powered by a horizontally opposed engine.
And finally we have the Nissan GT-R N24 GT Academy ’12, a car that raced in the 2012 Nürburgring 24 hour race. The eagle-eyed (or those with a good memory) will recall that the GT-R N24 is included at no extra cost with the GT5: Academy Edition.

Ha 1 dollar for a car , The Honda looks nice.I don't get it why they made another copy of 2 cars that are already in the game? They can better make another car instead of a copy. The Nissan isn't bad, but we do have a lot of em already.

I did not know this! 👍 on a good find. Need to get some funds in my wallet. Always seem to be 5p short.

Edit: Hmm £1.78 in my wallet. Assuming they're going to be 99p each too I think I'll go with the Honda. I don't want another Nissan GT-R and I already have 3 of each of the Scion/Toyota.

Edit 2: Hard choice between the GT-R and Scooby. More of a which do I want less that which do I want more. Quite sad really.

Where did you get this information? Can you post a link to confirm this?

Yes, I updated the OP with some info on each car

Great work, thank you!

Same. I was hoping for multiple liveries too.

This proves that at least GT6 will have multiple no? Just copy and paste for PD. I feel these are just a taste of the next game. Considering how late they've been released.

EDIT: Is the '12 Shultz car as powerful as the '11 car?

Confirmed. Here are pictures of the 3 cars:

Added to op ;)

Edit: Anyway to change the thread title?

HSV-010, finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have exploded. PD, thank you so much. The HSV-010 was tied for no 1 on my list of most wanted stuff...PD have listened to someone!! Thank you!!!!!!!

Wow what a nice DLC!!
Hope they won't f'up the sound of the honda though.
In real life that thing sounds outrageous!

Although i like finding a good lobby with good clean racers, and the contact can sometimes be unavoidable in a flat out race for the win, or some good fun "rubbing is racing", the 'disable collisions' option could be a great addition for preventing players punting you off track. I'm surprised it wasn't an option a long time ago though.

Looks good! Great to finally see the HSV and BRZ in the game! Some will no doubt flip out at another GTR but for $1 each (I hope we don't get ripped of in the uk!) its reasonable value, and you can supposedly buy the ones you want, giving even less reason to complain. :)

How weak, mostly recycled cars already in the game.

Pales in comparison to Forza's dlc's... and I am a GT5 fanboy.

I want to buy the Weider HSV with a different PSN account that has funds in, will it work with my main PSN account? They are both European, and my disc is Euro region, too.
