Yes, but if you bothered to read the rest of what went on in the thread that it was linked to you would see that I ended up providing help to that person and he has even posted here in the drag section since expressing a genuine interest in dragging which I have yet to see you do. He has even contaacted me via pm for further assistance which I provided gladly. Ask him for yourself.

I just tried to be constructive. The OP said he heard a rumor, I asked where. There was absolutely nothing meant by it, then the 3 of you come in here stomping your feet and throwing accusations around. Maybe you should heed your own advice instead of jumping down my throat.

If you feel I incorrectly jumped to a conclusion when you (constructively) posted “Where did you hear this?” then we will have to disagree. I was basing it on all your previous posts here.

Additionally, if you’re suggesting threads of similar quality such as the one you mention do not take place all over this forum them your prejudice towards this section is far worse than I suspected.

I normally don't step in on anything like this, but this is getting ridiculous. Please stop acting like you all are all perfect, helpful people. It makes me sick seeing anybody new to dragging get trashed, belittled and left to figure things out on their own when they ask for a tune, when somebody could have simply presented them a link to one of the many guides available. I'm surprised the mods haven't issued you all a warning like they did with the drifting forum.

Sorry to be rude R1600Turbo, but I'm sick and tired of being the low-class citizen here. I joined this forum to have everything mentioned in the 1st amendment. However, the first post I made in GTPlanet, I was quoted to use the AUP wisely. Fine, I complied. It was my first post, I didn't know what I was doing. I was HAPPY of R1600Turbo to tell me that to be frank. From there on, I see posts quoting the AUP for places that don't even need them!

Example:

"Hi, I was wondering if I can have a tune for the Ferrari Enzo '02"

"(random quote from AUP). Please do not use texting language such as "u", "r", and "wuteva". WElcome to GTPlanet "

The drag racing forum became a low-life place now, we are "the armpit". Most of us know what the AUP has. Friendly reminders are fine. Repeating warnings is just tiring for everyone. Since now everyone considers us at the Drag Racing forum to be "the armpit" of GT5, I think I will take a break from GTPlanet just to not be insulted again. I'm sorry guys, I'm only 14 and can take so much. Jordan, I hope you are reading this, because I really don't know what to do right now. The respect that was in this sub-forum is now completely gone. Everyone in the other forums views us as dirty scoundrels, and people from the drifting forum post WAY more negative comments. But is the respect still there for the drifters? OH yes. We get comments from random people (no offense ParkourVeyron) pretty much degrading us over. This is the view they have of us: Dirty scoundrels.

Sorry guys, but I cannot take anymore of this. I've been treated like this ALL my life, and I came here to have a peace of mind. Looks like that isn't happening. Sorry if I said anything wrong or insulting, just trying to get the respect back that us dragsters deserve.

I insinuated your likeness to a rude child, nothing directly stating so. And you're blatantly harassing multiple members of this subforum; so who would be in the wrong in this situation? I've done nothing but help members of the community here and have no intentions of changing that outlook.

First off - Swara, it's readily apparent your grammar and attitude have improved

The very vocal resistance to the AUP in the earlier months of this sub-forum could be something to look at, in regards to other peoples' opinions of this section. Maybe the general combative nature - look at the Photomode section for comparison, where a large core group gently guides new users about things like competition rules, or image hosting, or composition. When a sub-forum was largely enveloped in drama relating to previously banned members joining just to cause havoc, grudges between teams, and rampant advertising for other forums (using this site's large audience for the benefits, ironically), it can leave a bad taste in peoples' mouths. Unfortunately, this means some people won't ever look for evidence of the section changing. Which, in many ways, it has.

Now, as all sides seem insistent on continuing this for absolutely no purpose, it's closed. Anybody who feels the need to re-start this slap-fest in another thread will be on the receiving end of a temporary ban.
