Got the same glitch on tsukuba, had to quit the race. Now I'm over 5h into 24h of le mans and after about 5 saves everything is ok

Did anybody let their car run for the full 9 hours on tsukuba and see the result?

I encountered the glitch within 20 laps of my race. used an x1 hahaha

I know i'll lose the race since the car is running at a constant 79km/hr but I will see how much EXP I will gain. I have to hit A spec level 40 somehow anyways.

8 hours left to go.

I did this race and had the same problem i found a trick to avoid problems.
Once the cars load hit the green flag. It will show a box (don´t remember what this box says) think it asks if you want to continue where you left. Go back pressing "O" it will then show another box warning you if you want to restart hit NO. After this hit the green flag and this time hit YES. You'll see the car will be entering properly into the pits.

Once that happens ENJOY!

Maybe the fix only works for saves made after the update.
I was only saying what I read in the changelog. :(

I babied it into the pit in the 4 hour roadster and now bob is driving for me. Hopefully there is enough fuel and tires for him to finish it out ahead. Thought the 2.01 patch was supposed to fix this. Shame there is no way to tell it to pit. A simple check to see if the race is a or b spec and if a then bob won't drive more than one lap without pitting.

DAM!!! 9 hour tsukuba in the X-11. The patch fixed my mid-race broken save at the 3 hour mark. Another suspension went fine. Now at the 7 hour mark the A.I. took over again right in the middle of the track and I'm not enough laps ahead now to still win at 50 mph. I shouldn't have taken that time-out and let laps run down before my last suspension.

I wish there was some kind of work-around because this is BS. How can the patch have fixed a mid-race save, but still have the problem on another save?

Did that really work or are you just screwing around?

Yeah, I did the 9 hour race, the third time I went back into the race that happened, car drove itself then stopped after the start line.
After a few tries of "trial and error" that's what I did and it worked.

I would just say don't do Tsukuba. It's something about that pit lane that messes it up. So many times when I pit there ill get in lane and before I set the gas I hit some invisible thing and it makes it so i just pass through the pits if I don't hit OK before I hit that invisible thing.

Even before 2.01 I saved many times on both Suzuka and Nurburgring with no problem. As soon as I do Tsukuba it does this. I wish I could erase just the update file and redownload it. Because it fixed my race when I first downloaded the patch. Maybe it would do it again.

Has anybody tried doing the Tsukuba races in B-spec?

I mean if it's B-Spec, and Bob takes over, would he still neglect to pit even if you gave him the command over and over?

I'm stuck doing the GVS 300kms in B-Spec right now, but I might give that a whirl when I'm done... What? I'm not procrastinating until I do the Le Mans and Nurburgring 24 hours. No, I am not.

Reading this thread has literally sandbagged my motivation for A-spec Endurance events...
Yup. I've got the two 24hr races left to do.....but it'll take me a couple of weeks to get one of them done....and if the game save is gonna screw up then it's not worth starting them.

I'm having a few thoughts about Tsukuba and the saving issue.

The run into the pit is obv on a corner... Was wondering if you suspend the race on the corner (where I have done), you get the problem, has trouble because its a tight corner, then off you go back on the main curcuit once you re start...

Wonder if you can wait long enough to get the car not going round a corner, but heading in a straight line (or really close to the pit), and still have the option to suspend, not sure how long the countdown lasts.

Might try this, just do one lap pit save - re start - one lap pit save re start just to seeif works.

Tsukuba seems to be the main problem, so your 24's should be ok.

If none of the 'tricks' that have fixed the glitch for some people aren't working for me at all should I just quit the race? I'm 4 hours into the 9 hour tsukuba race and not sure if I should keep trying or just give up

Even if the glitch hits, there are ways to regain control. I first got the glitch when I was almost 4 hours into the 9, but I wasn't gonna let those go to waste. Spin the car out, downshift to 1st and steer hard to the right, some people say pausing and unpausing the game will work too.

Before the 2.01 update I was able to spin the car out but it would never turn into the pits once it took control the way people have described. After I updated to 2.01 I can no longer spin the car out once the race starts back up and b spec doesn't stupidly turn into the pit wall once it passes the start line anymore

Coincedentally I finished the A-Spec Indy 500 today but I started last week and I've been using this (quite brilliant) save feature and reloaded the game twice from lap 1 to lap 200 and didn't encounter a single problem whatsoever. Or is this only for the 9hr endurance race in particular?

The save glitch is still there. I have tried saving many times, but when you resume the race the car starts on the track. You end up just driving around the track never pitting. Way patch things PD.

I attempted my first long enduro on Friday Tsukuba 9hour, did two stints fine to get up to 2 hours in. Loaded it up today and got the glitch, car just driving itself around the track. I thought 2.01 fixed this?

That's a good idea....have you tried it?

I got porked 7.5 hours into mine. I couldn't fix it either. I would say just do what I did. Back up your save to a USB stick, another account on your PS3 or onto the cloud if you're a PS Plus member, in hopes that another patch comes out to actually fix it.

Then just exit out of the race and continue doing other things. I just wouldn't do anything milestone worthy in case there's a patch and you have to go back to the older save.

After I backed up my save last night, I exited out of the race and restarted it just to check something like this. What I decided to do was to not hit the suspend button until I came to a complete stop in the pits. Restarted the game and still it starts you back at the enterance to pit road, which means the glitch could still happen.
