I started i new file. But i am not going to use an F1 until the fourmula 1 race. Wish me luck!

Good for you. Go for the gusto - don't use any race bodies against street cars.

Or you could simmilarly tuned street cars against race cars. Like myself :D although you can't do it too much in the Pro leauge.

Grood luck. :p

You could use a non F1 car for the Formula GT as well...Apparently it's possible to win the series with an R390 or something.

Tried it once with the NSX JCTG or whatever, was too tough for my liking ... but it is probably possible with a bit more power ...

Any tips on what specific cars i should use? Just to let u no i have no gameshark!!!

Who needs a Gameshark ... haha.

I have only tried it with the NSX, but was impossible (for me), I would think something like the Toyota GT1 road car or whatever should be able to do it ?

Or the R390 Nissan ?

1 question, Who cares about you starting a new Game File???

i mean :banghead: :odd: :irked:

Are you refering to the F1 Cup? It would most likely do well. But someone here at GTP has beaten it with the R390 Race Car, so that's probably your best bet.

@ Race Idiot :
:D Check my sig, Pro League isn't any tougher than the rest with a properly tuned "Road" Car, (It just takes longer!!!)...UB57

:D Actually the F-1 Champ HAS been beaten with a "Road" Car, but by a FAR Better driver than myself. It's the final "Hurdle" to completing my second game save. (BTW: Did you ever get your "MOMO" to work???)...UB57

im talkin about the whole game.

I'd say the whole game can be done with the R390, except of course for the specific (Audo TT), but with the NSX JTGC whatever thing, I did the whole game except for the F1 series. there is no single car that can do everything ... but you can probably finish the whole game with a list of 5 cars ?

I'm trying now to beat it with a TS020 Race Car. I won the first 2 rounds (Midfield and Seattle).
I'll post the results of all my races when I finish. ;)

If you don't care, don't read it. Simple as that. Refrain from making comments like this in the future.

I agree Neon-Duke !!!!!!!!!! ;) At least we will now see with what cars one can win the F1 races !

If the 787B can't win everything it can enter, except possibly the F1 Championship, you can't drive.

Functionally there is absolutely zero difference between running the 787B against the regular fields and running an F1 car. There is absolutely no point in restarting if you're planning to do this.

I repeat - do not use race bodied cars against street cars. And try to stay in the same class of race cars. It is 100 times more fun than just cruising around slaughtering the competition. You have to put a lot of time into completing GT3, even if you do use the fastest possible F1 car. So why waste those hundreds of hours just sightseeing around the track in a car much faster than the field?

Boring in the extreme. Try to make it a little competitve for yourself.

I agree again dude ! :D

I just hope they upgrade the AI in GT4, and possibly HP restrictions like in GT2 ... that would not make it so unfair ...

And the other thing is, even though you think your car is well matched, sometimes you still drop them dead !

So u guys are saying i should use cars like the RX-8 and the Supra RZ and cars that are equal to the compitition?

PS i'm not talking about the F1 cup

Yip ... like totally standard cars in Beginner league all the way through ! No tuning dude ! That is a challenge to get you going !

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Why is that such a surprising suggestion?

[edit] I'm not going so far as to say that you shouldn't tune cars at all. But you should run cars that are approximately equal to the competition in lap times, meaning start with an equal and mostly-stock car (I always use race tires, and I always change the virgin oil) and add only the few parts you need to win the race.

Here's a rule of thumb: If you can qualify on the pole by more than 2 seconds over the next car, reduce your power mods or use a lesser car. I usually use a 1-second margin, but if you're in the habit of using F1s for everything, that may be too close for you.

I've never understood the simple desire to beat this game in the easiest way possible. You miss so much by simply clubbing the competition into the ground. Believe me, I am no exceptional driver. I'm in the slowest tier of the Weekly Comp ladder. If I can do it, you can.

I've also been thinking about starting a new game. But how did you do it?
Did you just delete your old game data?

I think if I do decide to restart, I'll not use race cars or F1's.
Try to use the least amount of car to win. I would want the next time around to be as hard and challenging as possible.

Heh, I forgot about my wheel! I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time. :| I'll try and remember for this weekend though. Thanks for reminding me. :)
