True, but I still doubt it will be as good as the GT in that intro. The way I see it is you make realistic expectations for yourself, if thats a realistic expectation for you then thats fine. But if it doesn't look as good as that theres no way I will be even the slightest dissapointed in that area.

What a letdown

If THAT is GT5 what a dissapointment

The tracks look like GT4 but higher resolution and better textures

What a letdown. PD is lazy #%#%# if they put this crap out there as GT5. It's GT4 on steroids.

Only way I can overlook the way it looks is if they add changing weather, changing time of day, and damage.

If not than PD is greedy little #%^#%# too lazy to remodel the tracks for a better processor.

It looks like GT4 because it IS GT4, the only part of that that was GT5 is the very first part with the RX-7 and Lancer Evoin high detail. Thats why the vid was a VGT vid nota GT5 vid, because it wasn't ll GT5, it meerly hinted at things to expect like larger grids, better animations ect.

Most uninformed post in the thread.

BTW I'm super impressed with how that RX7 and Lancer looked, the panel seperation, the smooth lighting... the lights on the front of that RX-7 - OOOOOH! Finally cars that don't ignore certain little details... everything is depicted in a solid (3D) form as it should be - panels/wheels/tire tread etc. Everything is actually 3D! The form of the cars are perfect in my eyes, only textural element of the surface makes them look like computer models still, but the form is spot on. Possibly the only thing I need to see to be utterly convinced of GT5's impending awesomeness is interiors and damage. And better AI. They are the big 3 PD need to deliver on. Graphics will obviously be total sex.

I'm confident the car sounds will get much better in GT5, apparently PD know that many cars (the V8s spring to mind) just weren't right in GT4, it was just a limitation of how their sound engine worked. They have much more detailed sound recordings of the cars than what they used for GT4... I'm expecting sound to be a big step up on the new hardware.

I would like to be able to do proper donuts however.
But I can't see PD upgrading the physics model for at least another 2 games... :grumpy: they just redid it for GT4, they have to milk it for a bit yet...

And you know what they'll say. No, but a Formula GT does.
