Here is an idea: Why doesn't someone nominate one of the said Volvo's and then you can debate it there instead of in a thread concerning the results of a cool wall?

Please do not complain about the position of a certain vehicle on the wall, there was already a given debate time for that. The members of GTP have voted and spoken with the level of coolness being determined by the majority.

So you are promoting street racing and hooliganism, right. As Famine pointed out, don't complain about the results. If you are truly interested in why X vehicle was voted a certain way search for the voting thread on it.

GT is about professional auto racing. "Street" Courses are walled off and run like real-world street circuits. Other courses are purpose-built road courses. This is meant to represent legal, professional auto racing, not dicking around on city streets or country roads. Go play NFS:MW if you want to do that.

You, sir, have NO respect for the law WHATSOEVER. I hope you don't kill someone's family with your stupid antics. Or, just as bad, a Police officer.
 
What's fascinating about the cool wall is that, so far, we only have a Mini and a 911 in the "seriously uncool" category... and we also have a Mini and a 911 in the "subzero" category. Have we broken the bell-curve? :lol:
 
Well in all fairness the Clubman is sort of an awful MINI and the 9FF is just an automotive abomination.

I agree though, the cool wall is a bit strange since we think most vehicles are cool. I can't honestly think of a better way to do the voting and what not though.
 
I'm happy with the current way. I think the only reason more cars are leaning into cool is simply a natural result of the polls. I've voted plenty of the cars in the cool section as uncool, yet the majority vote wins it, as it should be. There'd perhaps be something wrong if everyone was agreeing on every car, but that's not going to happen.

At the end of the day there are a lot of performance cars going up and petrolheads are more likely to vote performance cars cool. Of course, there are the silent voters too who vote but don't participate in the conversations so even if the conversation in a thread appears to be going one way, the vote may go another.
 
Well... it can't help that people are nominating mostly cars that they think are cool... so a lot get put on the cool side of the wall.

Nobody has yet nominated a truly awful car... or a car that can unequivocally said to be uncool... such as the VW Phaeton or the Robin Reliant. :lol:

Thread should be reopened when there are 10 nominations in the queue, just to give you an idea. And I'm trying to plan a truly awful car too.
 
no...Rather, it's a singular vehicle modified into something of a unique (albeit humorous, and perhaps dangerous) machine.

I mean, TG has a dog on their wall. and personalities. We've gotta have some funny stuff.

I plan on doing this as well, I want to see what special treatment you give to a car that gets unanimous seriously uncool.

I have a feeling this is going to turn into a mediocrity wall.:lol:

Not even slightly. An Audi you can drive without being a cock. And with a wubble-woo shape engine!

Of course, since I'd buy one it's automatically uncool. But as soon as I would and can, it'll become cool again.

I'm a bit late to the party but I would like to add, that I find the VW phaeton is a seriously cool car in my eyes. It's an impressive car that generally slips right under most peoples radar.
 
:lol: A Mercedes-Benz in a class of its own. The part of my soul that I've stuffed into a box and put into the attic is completely tickled by this.

Should there be another category entitled Vanilla Ice for cars beyond seriously uncool?
