yo whats up i just joined this site, look forard to learning new things, currently i drift best with the spoon civic, and integra type r. How many of you use the stering wheels what brand is a good brand to buy?? thanks:)

i dont use a wheel..i got used to using a wheel on Sega GT and it feels COMPLETELY different on GT3. so i just use my 6 year old ps1 controller :)

I use a wheel for GT2 and dualshock2 for GT3. The pedals don't work on my PS2 for some reason....
I drift practically all the cars.. the Hondas are pretty good.
You use the sidebrake just to initiate the drift right?
I try to keep my FF drift sidebrake free, i think it looks kind of weird when you lock the rear wheels when drifting, so i use other techniques.

i do use the sidebrake to initiate the drift, for some reason on the big turns such as grand valley speed way, i seem to be getting stuck half way threw the drift on the big turns, what should i do to continue the drift threw the whole turn?? also how do you guys drift with the rear whell drive cars do you use the side brake to intiate the drift??

1.) Quite simple, really, just hit the sidebrake more, try letting off the gas or just turning in more.

2.)For rear-wheel drive, try reading teh sticky posts at the top of the screen. Lol, you don't use the e-brake, try letting off the throttle to induce oversteer, tapping the brakes, or initiating a feint motion to get your car sideways.

Personally i don't use sidebrake while drifting, just to initiate if needed. To make the drift long, you just need enough speed to start with and then do a really deep drift with no countersteer.. at least that's what i do. Here's a pic to demonstrate.

I suppose the civix has slightly more grip than the FTO, but the basics are the same, especially the integra drifts quite easily. The civic is a bit shorter and the rear is a bit tougher to get sliding, but still there should be no problem there. DL my QuadX vid to see some FF drifting, with minimal e-braking. There's also some some pics if you don't feel like downloading such a big file.

Simply increase the power to around 250bhp and use sim tires. More power makes it easier. Also stiffening the front suspension and leaving the rear soft stresses the rear tires more when cornering, so that makes initiating a drift easier.
