New Hybrids?

I was in a lobby with some V Spec GTRs while they were around 1900 horsepower but then one of his friends come in with a 20,000 horsepower Vspec so im guessing the civic and x2011 are not the only ones...

This is getting ridiculous now. 1000-2000hp GTR's are fine cause you can achieve that in real life but 3k+ hp GTR's are stupid.

It's going to get fixed, whether it takes them a month or longer to do it, and I don't think they will take it lightly on the abusers. I havent gotten a hacked car yet and I don't want one. Not that it wouldnt be fun to run around in a 1000hp Schwimwagen or Fiat 500, but there is a limit for balance on this game. It's ridiculous enough to have the X1 & X2011, but now we've got these cars ruining online for everyone; or removes the challenge while racing offline. Pointless.

I totally agree with you, but problem also gets fix by limiting hp and kicking offenders that do it purposely, I get it when it is between friends but we need to put a stop to it as a community.

We don't need to put a stop to anything. Have fun and don't bring them into rooms and try and run them competitively. It's up to the host of the room/s to keep it under control. I'll put it like this, it's no different than a guy coming into a room and e cheating. We will all call him out and make that person feel like doo doo

I now have some but just use them for fun in GT5 hybrids room. Never other lobbies. Just some people are not mature enough.

They won't ban you for it. Its too easy to accidentally get one without knowing it is a glitched car and just assuming it is a special edition car, especially if you are someone who is newer to the game and is really not into it yet. I will put a 99% guarantee that they will not ban because of it. Worst i could see them doing is reseting your garage.

I agree, i think anything above 2500 horsepower is crazy in GT5. I like having 1600 horsepower R34 like in real drag cars in japan and such. But 20,000 horsepower cars are fun in only Hybrid car lobbys.

Its this mentality that will ultimately lead to the demise of online racing in general....the more I read about hacked cars the more I wish PD or Sony puts a stop to them.

The fun with the current "normal" form of organized drag racing on GT5 is the challenge of tuning equally horsepowered cars equal to or better than the next guy. Those that have been good at it compete against each other regularly and it is competitive. Having "hacked" cars enter the picture is a crutch for those that may be less creative in tuning and can ruin a good room. Hopefully the hacks will be limited to offline use only.

Right. The 20,000 hp gtr I can live with, it's the cars hacked to only 50 hp more that will fly under the radar and pose the biggest threat.
