New Initial D Series

I heard there is a new Initial D series (I think its Project D). Its based off of the Kengai Racing Team (the new team with Takumi that Ryosuke formed). Its based off of the newest Manga series.

I cant find anything else about it, so if anyone else does, please post!

Yeah, I heard that they have also started showing the new stage about 'Project D' in Hong Kong as well. But of course, the manga series is already very far along. Here's what I am dying to see...

Takumi raced with Bunta (my hero) down Akina. Bunta has already got his Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version 5. It was already after 'Project D', and Takumi is already a much more skilled driver. However, he was very distraught that he got thrashed by his father. Apparently, couldn't even smell the Impreza's smoke.

However, this does make sense of the fact that Bunta has always put Takumi down as being a lousy driver...

You and us all, dude! However, that should take a while before it comes out on anime as it is after 'Project D'. But heck, I'd settle for anything new now! I've probably nearly worn out my 'Initial D' discs ;)

I just finished watching Stage 1 and Stage 2 of Initial D. The last act of Stage 2 made me cry. Are there any more stages or other anime that deal with Takumi and the rest of the guys?

'Third Stage' is the 'Initial D' movie. Then there is the 'Special Stage', which is about the Sil80 girls Mako and Sayuki. It was pretty lame, and Takumi wasn't even in it. But if you're a guy, ya might appreciate seeing Mako's hooters.

Then there is the 'Battle Stage', which in my opinion, is a must have! It's just a compliation of all the battles in the anime series so far. Ah, but there's more to it than meets the eye! All the battles of the 'First Stage' and 'Second Stage' have been redone with their new animation. It's fantastic. Everything is actually dynamic now. The cars have more detail, and the cars now actually bounce along the road dynamically, and realistically. Back then, it was as if the roads were flat, and the car suspension were steel pipes most of the time. I guess it's a taste of the CG animation for the new stages.

Also, there is a bonus! There is a battle that was NOT in the series. It's Keisuke(Tuned FD3S) vs. Seiji (Tuned Evo IV). It was rather short, but it was probably the best battle in the whole stage. I won't say who won, but you have to see the winner's move. Oh yes, the race was at Akagi.

The Battle Stage does leave out races, like the EVO4 vs ThunderFire's S-13, and EVO4 vs GTR. And they leave out any non-race drift fun. But it is such a great addition.

I've always wanted to see Bunta's Impreza. And I think he gave Takumi an unfair race. A 4WD versus an FR? Come on! I think Bunta should race the black Evo III...

Does any one know a good web site I can get the Mangas?

It's true that the 2nd stage is the saddest season of Initial D. Takumi's heart breaks after seeing Natsuki hanging around with Papa Benz, his Hachi-Roku blows up and Itsuki never gets the chance to tell Kazumi how he feels.

I think the latest was Buntai let Takumi send the daily tofu on a alternate car basis - One day AE86, next day using his Impreza.

Seems like aftr driving the Impreza, Takumi realised that the things he can't achieve using his AE86 and started getting disappointed in it.

According to Buntai, was like his last test b4 he let Takumi graduate....Wonder what the outcome will be :)

But to be frank, it was really exciting to see Buntai outrun Takumi. First time in the series :D

What's the problem, dude? Takumi beat even the tuned Evo IV with his 150bhp old Tofu car! And after having the TRD engine, and going down Akina, it's not an unfair match. The Impreza's have never actually been better than the Evo's anyway. Bunta smoked him. Even if the cars were the same, Bunta still would have smoked him.

I believe Bunta would smoke Takumi in lesser cars as Takumi smoke others who had better cars.

Wow! I would love to see that! Boy, I can't wait!

I guess Takumi still had a lot to learn at the time. He never did have technical knowledge. Even as he realized it at the end of the 2nd Stage, I guess he never got that far after 'Project D'.

It is obviously a nifty idea that Bunta made Takumi drive the Impreza. Considering that the idea was that Takumi could drive any FR car and maximize its characteristics. So, learning to drive a car of another drivetrain type and to bring out its characteristics would be a great test indeed.

Well, at least the daft boy now understands what Kyouichi had been saying : No matter how good your skills are, you will eventually be limited by the car's potential. Which is a fact.

Yeah I agree, a 86 is still a 86.

Can't wait to see book 26 :D
