Kia has a new range-topper for its “K”-series models in Korea: the K9 sedan. But does it look like a 7 series to you too?

It is quite 7-Series-esque, but my main complaint is with the name. K9 just reminds me of that film/series about the police dog.

It'll carry a new name in the USA, not sure about anywhere else. But honestly, other than size I don't see any similarities.

Coachwork by Turner & Hooch?

Other than the wheels, they don't appear that similar at all.

You can only make a big sedan look so much like something other than a big sedan before it doesn't look like a big sedan anymore, but an Excursion or something stupid.

I think the car looks Asian, which is a good thing because it is.

Well that's another big rwd Luxo sedan from the koreans, Good on them:pretty sure(hoping and praying)This will/should replace the current amanti:Is such a horrid car from "old" KIA.

...Here is the Amanti:The only somewhat attractive image i could muster, Quite like the brushed alloy wheels though.

I'm seeing a strong connection to the 7 series and some other luxury brands. A shameless ripoff, though? Probably not.

Meh, alright I guess. That grill looks absolutely hideous, though. :yuck:

So, it is a Kia Genesis. Assuming that they've had the chassis properly sorted, it'll be the next-best-thing to a used Pontiac G8 if they're using the new V8.

Next best thing besides a Genesis maybe. Hopefully it has less mushy seats.

I'd say its better proportioned than the current 7 series which I think looks horrid (looks like a cheap copy of itself!). This Kia doesn't look half bad, other than the grille the front gave me a feeling of Vauxhall Insignia.

Its only a matter of time till those two indentations come together and form separate Kidney's..... :scared:

It looks good, but let's be honest it's the badge that just won't let it get very much respect. Kia has this reputation for there small cars and in my opinion they should just stick to that.

It actually looks pretty good but as said by many others, it looks too much like a BMW! Those headlights might have been taken straight away from the 5 Series GT...

As long as it's good and the pricing is in a good range, people might buy it. Then again, it's the badge that makes people running away.

Seeing as this is from peter, former designer from audi who is with kia now: Was expecting more along the lines of the audi A8..not BMW, a bigger optima would have been MUCH better imo. pretty sure hyundai's tau V8 4.6/5.0 will go into this car. but to be honest..it look's larger then a genesis, Almost looks like the size of the equss.
