Would be hilarious if they made an application that gives a full screen warning when the laptop was upside down, like:
"Don't panic"
"Fasten your seatbelts"
etc, etc...

Yhe they do, there is an app so you can smack your mac into life lol. (or so i believe)

They do. It’s used to park the HD in case the laptop falls.

Oh rite, thanks for the info, I figured they would probably have something like that to save your HDD in a fall.. really neat use of it though, im surprised OSX doesn't make more of this officially as part of the OS because it could offer some great unique user interaction..

I still want that key... would love to plug it in and run away and see the look on peoples faces!

Here's two programs that use the Sudden Motion Sensor technology. (mac laptops only)

MacSaber, this will make lightsaber sounds as you swing your laptop around. Probably not the most useful app ever, but it's pretty funny.
LiquidMac, simulates water particles that respond to tilting the laptop.
