New main menu sequence/car-showoff.???

searched for a thread about it couldnt find anything.

I went on to gt5 earlier today to check out the new ocd and trials, only to find a very different and intresting main menu sequence. Now we have all seen the sequences in the main menu of mechanics working on your selected 'premium' car, the weird one where everything is all white and cars are just driving around a whited out city, the one where your driver walks through a showroom of helmets and suits and the original engine one (you can see the pistons and cams working'.

i turned to my laptop screen while gt5 loaded up, then turned back to gt5 to find my Ruf BTR (yes a standard model) in lime green complete with rauh welt style spoiler:drool::drool: there parked very prettily in the middle of this old part dirt lane laced with autumnal coloured leaves. now forgive me if this is common but i thought it was intresting for two reasons.

1.1st time i have seen this location like a country back road in an autumn ring style look.

2.it was showing a standard car, quite closely to. something i dont think happens in the suzuka pit garages.

apollagies if this is well known about but it's the first time iv'e seen it and ive been playing gt5 since december.

so have you seen it and if you have do you know what this location is called.
 
I've seen it several times since I got it in December. I see it once every 3 times I boot up GT5.

do you know what it is called it would be a cool photo travel location.
 
It doesn't appear as a Photomode location. I think I may know what your talking about. It's just one of those background things from GT5 Prologue. :) Those mysterious unused places are so lovely. A screen-shot would be nice to help with what you saw. 👍
 
Was there a stone wall with butterfly's flying around? If so it is from GT5P. Standard or not it shows your currently selected car. Or it did in Prologue.
 
No I know what he's getting at. It's a white background with a shrunken white city with a bunch of roads all over it with GT5 cars driving around. Everything is white excluding the trees and cars.

i think i recall seeing some stone in it sorry my memory is appalling.

i am not bothered about the white one 'slash' i have that quite often.👍

it looked awesome with my BTR sitting there, if it was made into a photo location it would be amazing something to rival kyoto gion atlast.:dopey:

No. He was talking about the GT5P screen.

found something this was posted in november LoL. so this main menu sequence is not new at all:D
quite alot more stone in it than when i seen it it seemed further away in the open from that alcove aswell.

Yes that is from GT5P. It also shows the car sitting in the grass next to the stone wall.

Edit: The stone wall with the car in the grass is another location. But they are both from GT5P.

I've seen standards in photomode locations before (I saw my R8 LMS in some place), but I've never seen this location. Why does PD make all this sweet stuff only to use so sparingly?
 
Did you guys see how your driver is now next to the car when the koyto background comes up? I never seen it before, I saw it 4days ago.

Because crap like the 300 skylines and a friggin PT Cruiser take up valuable space, and were deemed more important.

Why was were they deemed more important?

Only answer I can come up with is drugs. Lots and lotsa drugs.

It was added in patch 1.11/1.12
I think it is a strong sign that we soon might be able to place our driver in the scene.
 
pit sequence is also little different than before. There is also driver and another cars is passing by on the track.
 
^driver and passing by cars were present from day one when that sequence was introduced
 
There was also park and that Tokyo thingy? Why PD? Whhhhyyy?
 
Also seen one with the car standing in that one German mall with the church and ugly brown seats
