Hallo Mates!

I've been playing GT4 für quite a while. I started drifting after i saw the film "Tokyo Drift" (well who didn't :) ). I first just pulled the e-brake and pulled the car out of it's drift.. (pritty easy and nonskill).. but since I discovered the BIG community in the Web (you) I started doing proper drifts. You guys are sharing usefull information about how to drift! thanks a lot!

GO ON!

fav cars: (old style)Dodge Charger stock (new style) NSX-R/RX-7 stock
want to drift car: Mustang GT (black!) HARRRRR!!! 100% style!

fav tracks: Apricot Hill / Trial Mountain

Why do that nk4e, that would make communication easy!

Welcome blondee. I suggest you start reading up on suspension and FR tuning guides for gt4 drifting. It'll help you get to your goal of that Mustang GT, which, I agree, is very stylish ;D.

LOL, exactly. Straight after the movie I started drifting, found this forum the next day and have been improving ever since.
I pull off some wicked drifts these days and get some impressive times too.
This is probably the best drifting resource I've found on the net(thanks a lot guys).

Anyway my fav cars to drift is my 300hp S2000(thanks boundry layer), and then one of three lotus' - although the 111r is probably my favourite.
I've also been messing around on the dirt tracks, there's nothing like drifting the hairpins on tahiti maze perfectly(especially in two player against someone who cant drift)

Cool! I checked out your settings-depot and found identti's Settings.. but i kind of wasn't skilled enought to drift with these settings..

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=2134905&highlight=Mustang+gt#post2134905

So I don't know identti.. is he THE drift-setting-guru, or could you (without critisicing identti) improve the Settings, so a medium-noob like me can drift the Mustang GT? Or am I just to unskilled in drifting?

If I ever make a expression- or grammar-misstake, please forgive me. I'm swiss :)

Well, instead of jumping right onto the task of drifting the Mustang GT you might want to wait until you've gotten a hang of drifting another easier, light-weight car like the Silvia S13. I suggest, until you can pull off drifts when you want and how you want, to try out one of the cars suggested here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61485 That should help you find a car to start out with, but remember stick with the car you choose to learn in. In order to drift the heavier, or more difficult, cars you'll need to know a lot more about the basics.

Remember, when I say to check out the suspension guides I mean you want to get to the point where you know how to tune your car without the help of anyone. The more you know about tuning the better it's going to be for you in the future. You won't feel stupid when you can't get any better because you have no idea how to make a car work for you like I did 4 months ago.

@implausibility

Well.. I started training with the listed cars and accomplished my first tracks nearly perfect. I think i'm on the right way. I can't show you my state of skill, because i dont have the hardware to capture the pic..

The only problem I still have is, that my car's regaining grip too fast, so I can not drift the whole circle. I think it's because of the speed.. I get slower and the grip comes back. I read the tuning-guide (pdf-thing) and tried to solve the problem, but i couldnt. Is there a static rule, how to solve that?:guilty:

im currently using the skyline D1GP and S15 D1GP

At the moment I'm using the RX-7 INFINI stock with N2, what seems to be my new love :) I now can take long circles and short ones and all the stuff. Just one thing still to master: long and close turns. (like Grand Valley Speedway[normal] 1st turn) I just don't get them.

Hello. i am such a n00b im noobior then a noob. i do not know how to drift at the moment. i practice everytime i can but i seem to either oversteer or understeer straight into the wall. embarrasing. :'( :)

Try a Honda s2000

I must say that my drifting is coming along very nicely now, its gotten to a point where I havent competed in any races at all for weeks- just drifting one way. Some days I dont even do just laps of whatever circuit, just keep repeating one specific corner, turn around, do again.

I must say that out of all my drift cars, the little S2000 is definately my favourite. Thats a sweet little car.

Welcome to the all new members, keep up the practicing and you'll be better in no time. 👍

The S2000 is a great car, it was my first drift car. :)

The s2000 is pritty nice.. i tried e few times and got even the tightest corner.. but I found the perfect drift car (for me) Ginetta G4 stock (n2).

It just drifts like it should

I cant remember announcing myself here, I'm CCX, ive taken part in drift comps and have been close to winning.

i drift with my:
Red 350Z roadster
Black Amuse S2000 GT1

Hey guys, myself and a friend of mine are both relatively new into drifting and are still trying to find the perfect drift car for 2 player drifting.. any suggestions? Standard cars that are good if possible..
