The OCD isn't very exiting...
Still great chance to use the FGT again. Loved the car ever since Spec II.

Uhhh, the drift trial event has vanished from the seasonal events section, anyone else?? I did it earlier, now i've bwoken it. :(

Some sort of "bug" with the drift trials... Wonder if I'll get to run them again when they fix their faux pas?
 
Yeah, Drift ones have been removed form the list on the official page as well.

God damn, I should've come here to check whether I'm the only one who doesn't see the drift trials. That way I wouldn't have needed to restart the ps twice. :(
 
Cool. New things to do when I get home today. Get to drive that overpowered FGT once more. Hope I can remember how I slid a miracle in the Formula Gran Turismo World Championship... :sly:

Say, can anybody post the "new" colors of the Bugatti Veyron and the FGT? Would appreciate it...

Car colours in the OCD are random.
 
Did some laps in the FGT time trial on the Indy Road course, did a 1.10.738 using DS3. Not terrible, but could've gone a lot faster - at one point I was 0.5s up on my time in the first sector, but lost it all in the second and third sectors. Urgh.

Buuuuuuut.

First of all, I remembered why I never use the Indy Road course.

Because it's an absolute abomination. The infield section in particular (i.e, sector 2), is just horrific, especially in the FGT, which is not a car I like anyway. Traction in particular is horrendous.

So the mixture of my least favourite race track and one of my least favourite cars.. yuck!

Still, will try to improve.. the time is there.
 
Seems Im not the only one who dislikes Indy then :) I haaaaate the tight S-curves, it's almost as if the cars turn radius isn't enough.

Should have done the drift trials last night before going to bed...

Anyone know what the problem was?
 
I see a few a couple z cars here but I've been looking for an '83 300zx (Fairlady) for the longest. Anyone want to trade for one? If I don't have it I'll get it for you.
 
Just put down a 1:15 in the FGT, purely for the fact that's a nice 1mil addition to my funds with the 200% bonus. Doubt I'll bother improving my time because a DS3 combined with an FGT is a recipe for rage and disaster. :p

aero: F=70, b=90
ballast: 0kg
power limiter: 100%
trans: Max speed 238mph

Suspension:
height: F=-10 b=-10
springs 20 & 20
dampers(ext) 10 & 10
dampers(com) 10 & 10
anti-roll 7 & 7

Wheel alignment(the important bit)
camber 2.0 & 1.0
toe angle: F= -0.49, b= 0.49

LSD
30 & 55 & 45

Brake Balance
Front: 5
Back: 4

Don't think I've ever used a setup so stiff as that, but I will try it later. :)

Earlier I went so far as to reduce the power limiter to see if I could get the wheels to stop spinning up so much. Helped a little but you lose too much time down the main straight. :grumpy:

I remember I can do 1.06 on here online. My buddy did a 1.05.997 too.
Any news on the prize?

Those are great times, seriously.

But can we really call a game a "Sim" when people in their living rooms can best by 3+ seconds the lap record of Rubens Barichello? He had a 1:09.454 in Practice and a best of 1:10.223 in Qualifying. I tuned the heck out of an F10 and got to 1:11.105 and thought I'd accomplished something - being within a second of an F1 Champ. (With a controller BTW, not a wheel)
 
Did a 1:13 with the FGT and DS3. I hate Indy so I'm not too fussed.
