I find it blatantly obvious that it is the one in the update.
It looks just like Kaz's race car, same colors, markings. But nothing will stop the fire right now I guess.

That might be true, but Kaz's car had racing stripe's so hopefully we'll get both

So if by blatantly obvious you mean they're different cars, then yes I would agree...

EDIT: Notice the tow hooks on the R35 are on opposite sides of the car also.
 
I'd say they're close and the RM Version will be close to his race car, but it looks MIGHTLY like the FIA GT1 car!

It's probably more RM for the premium cars that were left out from the games street date, a welcome addition especially for those crying foul over no RX7, and R34 mods those are two of japans most used race mod cars. Hopefully they redesign GT Auto completely and have the tune shop and body shop in one damn place and make the oil change available online. I for one do hope that almost all the Premiums have at least one RM and some should have 2 (subaru wrx and Lancer Evo) along with more mod parts for the non race modded cars.

The upgrade system at this point is kind of a joke. It should require some mechanical know-how and reward players based on their ability to choose the proper items. Even if it was something as simple as changing the engine upgrade to two different paths (NA and forced induction) it would mean the world. Not to mention it makes no sense claiming a car can't be turbocharged...

What about twin turbo upgrades? What about tire/wheel size? Are we getting brakes yet? This game really falls short in the modification department.
 
Imagine RMs for all FIA GT1 participating cars. An RM Ford GT.... Oh just the thought of it...
Or a 458 Italia RM... Madonna. :D
 
Regular people don't go into the fine details like that. GT5 was for the masses, even if you could tune your car those ways, the masses would find it difficult to understand. Lots of kids bought this game, turbo or not matters little to them. I think GT5 was made to appeal to a broader audience. If given more time, perhaps Kaz could have included these things.
 
That's why they should develop a proper "Simulation mode" and make the "Arcade mode" more like the GT Mode, but simplified for the SRF crowd.

Cappuccino was just basically transferred over from GT5:P was it not? Anyways love both cars. 👍
 
Despite all the Miatas we already have, i've always thought the Turbo/Mazdaspeed version was a little conspicuous by its absence, wasn't something like that in GT4?
 
Love the Caterham cockpit pic (even if I don't use that view) but hope they also fixed the gearing/performance, and for a number of other cars (Tesla springs to mind) too. But i'm not trolling, the latest news is awesome 👍

To be honest, I don't think the race mods will be DLC. I think the Race Car pack will be things like the HSV-10 and the R8 LMS. Otherwise I'd like official word on the Race Mods from Kaz himself. Maybe someone should ask him on Twitter.

I can't believe I had to read 4 pages of this thread to find someone not crazy. More RMs is fine but any DLC called a "race car pack" should be nothing but real racing cars, preferablly current real FIA GT cars and a handfull of the current LMPs (the most current prototype is still a full year out of date)

Quick, everyone try and figure what the car is behind the Impreza! Anyways, definitely all RMs, I'm very excited about this specific picture. Too much to enjoy once this is out!
