400pp, 512bb, 500pp, 512bb, 650pp minolta on r5's with srf and ds3  (ok, so I did some grinding on a few accounts :p )

oh, the 'ring is back!! better then b-spec's & time trials.. :)

i will make some millions with it! i'll use the same cars as always for 650pp, GTR R35 TC, Chap 2J and Audi R8 Race Car 01'....

Makes me laugh when people say "Its super easy why people having difficulty?"
Post your laptime, not just I've passed it with chappy 2j w/ RSoft. against a 370z motul. sigh..
While I dont have trouble passing any seasonals I'm aware these can be challenging for someone that doesn't have a good knowledge about tuning or simply choosing the right cars.
Always remember, is it a Cheat or a Feat. Most of the stuff you read on this board is the 1st option.

well at least its something new. Still, like a lot have already said, I miss the old seasonals that actually had 5 races series for restricted entry cars. A mix of these PP races and those specific ones would be pretty cool. Don't know if that will happen but dang, last good seasonal was Stars and Stripes.

Nord: 6:27 with a 908 tuned down but 100% Downforce/Racing Softs and the Tranny set to 211 MPH. (Slow in/Fast out)

Ring: No laptime but I won it with the weakest Alpha in the OCD tuned to roughly 465pp. Won by about 30 seconds BTW.

tskuba: No laptime again but I won it with the Honda Life Step Van.

I'm not bragging, I usually place around 50,000 rank in the Time Trials.

Saw the thread and tried the Nordschleife last night, quite tired and fairly intoxicated, with a DS3. Couldn't gain on the F1 with a 597PP Super GT SC430. Could have possibly won with my 625ish PP Camaro LM, but kept screwing up. My best time with the Camaro was around 6:35 but he ran sub-1:30 that time. All on Race Hards, of course.

Will try shortly, sober and with the wheel. Expecting to make lots of money from this one. I guess that means I have to figure out something to do with the 19,650,000 credits I currently have. "Finishing" my garage might be happening in the near future. Or maybe not, I haven't added up the prices of the premiums yet, but I have most of the really expensive stuff already.

EDIT: Oops, I must have read wrong in my stupor last night. The Camaro is actually 639, not 628 like I thought I remembered. That makes more sense. Maybe my garage list was out of date? Yeah, that sounds good...

Tsukuba - Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, used Sport Softs and the grip was amazing, but it is 4WD.

Cape Ring - TVR Tamora on Sport Softs again, an easy win this car is brilliant for all the 500PP events.

Nurb - Tried the 2J and the R35 TC and best I can get in 2 tries is 2nd. 2J would normally win easily but it's a lot harder to pass here than at other tracks.

That brings up a pet peeve of mine... why is it that the races at the Nordschleife are almost always the shortest races in any series?

For the 400 and 500pp, I always use the gsx r/4.
For the 650pp, the GT-R 35TC.

I'll try different cars this time, because with the combo above, it's always easy wins...

Because the track itself is long? Btw the event was really good, and enjoyed. Because it was so much fun, I desided to tune some of the cars I have in my garage. For Tsukuba I'd used a Honda CITY Turbo II and came in 2nd place with sports soft. The BMW Z4 M Coupe for Cape Ring with sports soft coming in 1st place. And the Nissan GT-R race car (GT Edition) for the Nurburg with race hard tires coming in 3rd place. :)

Well, personally I made it super easy on myself, I wasn't aware it was a competition

I don't know the laptimes at scuba, prolly 1'00 or something, even less idea for the cape one but I won by probably an average of over 20 seconds. TBH I was drinking and smoking at the same time as running, so you know, a cigarette in one hand switching off between beers and such, the idea was to kill them to get the ticket fast, then do the ring multi times to get the accounts all back close to 20 mil 👍

As for the ring iirc seeing past my double vision I believe I was doing 6'20.xxx's to 6'40.xxx's, as long as I got the mil I was happy.

Because the track itself is long?

I don't mean shortest by laps, but rather by time. Most other races are 2/3 again to twice as long as most Nordschleife races. But that is probably the main reason, it is a tough track for people who don't run it a lot. Still, a 1 lap race on any track is a bit silly. Unless it's point to point or 1,000 miles long of course.

Point to Point would be nice though. :D Imagine PD making a point to point rally events like the special event naming it Gran Turismo Rally, with your co-driver. Kaz should know about that someday. ;)

That would be great. Even though the co-driver in those is a bit less than perfect they are still good fun, particularly with no mini-map. I'm sure everyone has wondered why we can't at least create tracks just like those with the creator since we can make the exact same thing in a loop. Probably caused bugs in testing or something.

Ran the Nordschleife event now in the Camaro LM. First run was 6:29, woulda-coulda-shoulda. Second was a 6:28 and I won by a few lengths. Should've been more, but the Zonda got in the way at the Karussel both times and then I made a little mistake before Galgenkopf and then almost blew it by braking too late at the chicane at the end the time I won. That Camaro loves the Ring.

Yes the seasonals, 400, 500 and 650pp is getting some what tiresome. However the Nurb is a stunning track, certainly when you have to chase down the A.I.

400, Tsukuba - Celica 185 204bhp
500, Cape ring - Zonda C12 312bhp

650 Nurb - 2nd place with, Lambo Nomad, 2J and GT40 race car. Finally fight a McLaren with a McLaren, so used the McLaren F1 race car tuned to hit 650pp and won by 2 seconds.

... in the wise words of Cypress Hill: "Here Is Something You Can't Understand"

If people get constantly beaten by either the Zonda or the McLaren LM in these 650p races - why don't they drive one of those cars themselves and take the win; given that they have these cars in their garage of course and are not going for the challenge by picking a clearly underpowered car...

650p on the ring is a bit harsh, would rather enjoy a 400 oder 500p race there - and hell, why not at 7 or 8pm or even a night race? With the Nurb PD have the full control...

I'd wish all 3 races were on the Nürburgring - but anyway it's nice too see a seasonal on "The Ring" again :) .

Maybe we could get point to point GT6 I guess. :) You must of had a lot of fun in the Nurburg event, the payout is just amazing. :D I'm thinking about taking out the Lexus IS-F RM or the Viper rac car. It's fun to chase after those fast A.I. drivers as well.

I used:
400PP - mazda eunos roadster
500PP - renault clio v6
650PP - McLaren f1 gtr

All easy wins apart from nurburgring where I got 2nd with a shocking lap. Hope this helps. Anybody need to borrow any of these cars PM me and i'll get straight back to you. :)

I filled up my credits losing the first race, forgot to spend some!

yes and yes
Though everyone would complain that pd is lazy by only using one track:sly:

I'm going to enjoy the hell out of the 500pp race this time. Love that layout of cape ring.

650pp took me a while and in the end I had to use my 2J to crack it and even that took two races. In the first one the BMW did a god damn 6:29 and I lost by 3 seconds.

I went for easy pickings:

400 - Alfa Brera (upgraded drivetrain,)
500 - Alfa C8 (upgraded drivetrain)
650 - Zonda LM (6:27:111)

Will work on these with more challenging rides over the weekend.

Nice time with the zonda 👍

Just ran a 6:15.962 with the BMW McLaren and took the win by 10.6 seconds on a ds3... went off track twice too. GT1 cars are my specialty though and I'm excellent on the Ring... now to shave some seconds off..

I tried the 2J and got third, twice out of six tries with 5th and 6th being the other finishes. So swapped to the BMW V16 and won two out of two. So then I went to the Ford GT LM Spec II suitably tuned to 650pp. and on two attempts came second both times, although I was leading one race by 0.1xx seconds up to the third from last corner, and got punted into the scenery by the BMW Mclaren F1 GTR.

I won the other two first try, I did the 400pp with a 3.0 Vectra on SM and the 500pp with a 04 Vantage tuned to 500pp on successively RS, RM, RH then SS. I'll go back and try these with progressively harder tyres. Also the 650pp with different cars at progressively lower pp.

The tail end cars seem to deliberately block in all of these challenges and the rolling starts make the gap to make up to the leader very big. I'd love a standing start for these.

The Zonda LM car is my go to car for 650 pp events. Blows everything out of the water except the BMW Mclaren :indiff:which i struggle with sometime
