Hi guys,

Could anybody please point me in the direction of which new standard cars were added to GT5 from GT4?

Been using the search function with no luck :(
Thanks in advance.

Dunno if there is a list - but off the top of my head I can think of a few significant models.

2010 Jaguar XFR Saloon
2009 Audi R8 LMS
2005 Bugatti Veyron

and IIRC there are several "standard" versions of Premium cars, including the Ferrari Enzo.

Thanks man...
I'm trying to think which standard cars were added to GT5 Prologue, that are actually in GT5 ???
I've checked the Master car list, but I think some models classified as standard that are new to GT5, don't show as "NEW" on that list

GT5 Prologue hasn't any standard cars. It was, after all, meant to be an taster of what GT5 was supposed to be. Several millenia later, when they'd only made another 3 cars, Sony kicked their butts and made them put almost all the GT4 models in, plus a few unfinished (or GT4 spec) newer cars. If they hadn't we wouldn't have gotten to play GT5, but maybe our grandchildren would have.

Those listed above weren't in GT4 though. Their first appearance was in GTPSP.

There were no standard cars in GT5 Prologue.

That's what he was asking about.

PS was the XFR in GTPSP? I own the game and hadn't ever seen it!

Right, I'll re-phrase it :)

I'm the kinda person that wants to move on, so for me, playing GT5 with GT4, GT3, GT2 and GT1 cars is a no, no. I f I wanted to use those old cars... I'd be playing those old games.
So, what I'm after is all the premium/standard cars NEW in GT5 (some 170+). I don't want any car in my garage that was used in GT4/3/2/1... if I make sense.

You'll struggle to finish the game in that case - off the top of my head, you need a standard pickup truck and a standard Polyphony Formula GT for career mode races.

The XFR, Veyron and the two Audi R8 LMS cars were in GTPSP, so aren't new to the GT series either.

So you're looking for cars that are unique to GT5?

Yeah, all the premiums, plus all the unique cars to GT5.
What I normally do, I buy or keep the cars I need for certain races/events and once I'm done, I sell them, so no worries about finishing the game :)

Not even all the Premiums are unique to the game - many are legacy models which have been upgraded. The four other standards mentioned earlier (XFR, Veyron and both R8 LMS models) were in GTPSP before they were in GT5. And that's the lot.

F10 Ferrari
X1/X2010
CR-Z
Tesla Roadster

Need I say more?

Yeah, all the premiums, plus all the unique cars to GT5.

There are (more-or-less complete) car lists in the Guides section, and the wider web. You could copy them to a text file and use a text parser to compare them fairly quickly, although non-exact matching might be tricky.

Anyway, many of the premium cars were in previous GT games, too, so your restrictions seem a touch arbitrary to me.

All the premiums from older GT games have been upgraded, so in that respect, are new to me :)
To cut the story short, I'm good to go with the premiums.
Basically, I'm after all new standards implemented from GT5 Prologue onwards.

Fixed. The XFR was NOT in GTPSP, as well as the Mazda Axela something (Mazda 3).

Well, so far there are the Jag, the Bugatti and the Audi. Apart from any new standards that made their appearance in GT5 Prologue, if any...
Anymore ideas???

Apart from any new standards that made their appearance in GT5 Prologue, if any...
Like already mentioned, there weren't any. EDIT: Too slow.

The only Standard cars which weren't in any GT before are the Jaguar and the Mazda. The other unique cars are all Premium.

the only ones i can remember are...
pescarolo judd C60
bugatti veyron
audi r8 lms (gt5 version and regular R8 LMS)
jaguar xfr
and audi r8 (prototype) team playstation oreca

:( Ok then... I'll then have to concentrate on the premiums :)
I'll Also be keeping my few fav standards road cars, like the Audi Le Mans Quattro...

Don't forget Lamborghini Countach (2 versions) and Mazda Furai

These were all in GTPSP though (except for the mentioned Jaguar).

I already got the Lambos, not the Mazda
How dø you get that one?

You do the B-Spec race involving the Mazda Roadster Eunos/MX-5, very easy and very good prize car for the race, the Mazda Furai.

Ok thanks... haven't started the B-Spec yet tho :)
