Xbox sucks
Just got my DFGT(after waiting for two months) and it looks great..... Just asking where can I buy a good stand/table that's not only available on the Internet??

Thanks!!

You can go to henardracing. They have a sim racer you can mount the wheel to, then all you need is a seat. I've used my brothers and it was cool, I wanted to take it home with me.

I have a dfgt on the way, mind sharing your Ikea knowledge?

I'd like to know too, i was at ikea the other day only to look for a nice stand for my wheel and found nothing suitable.

I used an ikea coffee table first but it was so unstable. Then I used a tv tray from bed bath beyond. Best is the wheel stand pro. Pricey but worth it.

Can you not make one yourself? I made one with some MDF in a couple of hours which flatpacks and builds back up in a matter of minutes without any screws or fastenings. I'll try put some pics up later

I have a DFGT and I use an old chair for a stand with the pedals underneath, I cut the back and arms of the chair so my steering wheel sits on the bit u would sit on and I have my celica gt seat behind it . Cos me nothin

Still extremely overpriced. One could buy the materials for that for like 40-60$ at any Home Depot, I believe. And that's probably way more than it would cost.

i was waiting to buy a dfgt before i got gt5 but sum problems came about and couldnt buy the dfgt, and i couldnt resist waiting for gt5, i was planning on checking out this sawhorse i saw a guy on the playstation forums using, its available at home depot or sears for 20-30$

its yellow but if u care about it that much i guess u could paint it, it has adjustable height and folds to put away, the only thing is that when folded out the horizontal part is hollow, since the legs go inside it when it folds, so u need like a 4x6 piece of wood to put inside so the dfgt can clamp to it.

this is the thread where i saw it, scroll down the guy (smoking rubber) has pics, i also think hes on this forum

probably the cheapest good stand you can get locally

Whatever you get, make sure that all parts are very stable and don't move. I have mine assembled on an Ikea desk (will post a picture later) and the legs are far too light, therefore the table has a bit of shaking that can interfere a bit when you need absolute precision - like driving the X1 2010.

I had something like that (from IKEA, 20 Euros) before I bought my Playseat and that's really, really awesome - all you have to do is adjust your chair to fit your needs. 👍

If you buy the cheap small diameter pipe than you are probably right, but that would also not be as solid. The one I used had thick pipes and plywood for the seat, steering wheel mount, and shifter mount, it was well built. Plus if you add your time and tools needed to build it yourself, it may end up costing you more.
